Wheat Ridge Recreation Center

We just made the decision to purchase a year membership after being impressed with a day pass visit. We love swimming in the lap pool, and it is never very crowded, I have never had a problem getting a lane. The hot tub is very nice to relax in after a workout. The facilities and locker rooms are nice and clean. The only complaint we have is that the upstairs gym area is hot and stuffy, very unpleasant.

Excellent pool time, fairly enjoyable experience friendly staff. I'd recommend going early to get a lane 4:30am on weekdays.

Now to the Karen's in the lowest reviews, I'm sure those that want to bring their kids to a pool will have more fun at Anderson pool (geared specifically for kid's duh...) , for going to the Wheat Ridge community center, try to schedule your time when the time is posted 10:00am to 4:00pm there's plenty of time...

For that the place is mainly for retiree's and adults who don't want to hear squealing kid's want to have a slide and other amenities there's plenty of time just call beforehand or go to another pool.

My fiance and I love swimming once a week at this rec center. Not ever very crowded in the early morning and usually able to get a lap lane as well. Appreciate being able to have a relaxing, quiet time and decent workout during the adult swim hours. Hot tub is nice, clean lockerrooms, bathrooms etc, and nice staff.

A good place to stay healthy and spend time with children and family.

We hosted our Gala at the Wheat Ridge Rec Center and had nothing but good things to say! The room was set up before we got there, the staff was friendly and super helpful; we had Brian and Janet helping us and I give them more than 5 stars for their services. The facility was clean, quiet, and everything we needed for our event. Thank you to the whole staff there. We worked with Katie setting up our reservations and she was super easy and always there for all of our questions!

We had our wedding at Wheat Ridge Recreation Center, and while this is not a conventional wedding location, it was honestly perfect. My now husband and I were very clear that we wanted something lowkey, simple, easily accessible, and fun. We also really wanted a weekend wedding, and anyone who has tried to plan a wedding recently knows that's impossible... except here! The pricing for a weekend day was SO reasonable - we had ample time for setup and cleanup, the space for everything was fantastic, and we were able to have our perfect, simple, baseball-themed wedding and reception all in one place. The staff was so kind, so helpful, and just wonderful to work with from start to finish. All of our guests were truly impressed that this event could be held at a rec center, and honestly, so was I! Everything about the process was easy - from contacting the team for a walkthrough, to booking, to contracts, to paying our deposit, to arrival and setup, to cleanup and checking out. I will forever hold this place in my heart since the best day of my life happened there, and it was perfection. Thank you to Katie and the team for everything!

I love Sherri's Zumba classes! Saturday at 11:15 and Thursday at 6pm. She's the absolute best!

On a day when all the Lakewood centers are closed, Wheat Ridge values patrons by being open. Saw four different people cleaning throughout center in the time it took to swim laps. So glad they are able to staff the lap schedule at long last.. Fantastic pool and employees!

We have been members for two years now and the facilities here are top notch and the staff is excellent. We also recently rented the ballroom for our wedding. It was an incredibly good deal for a really nice room and we had a lot of help from their staff to get chairs and tables setup for the event.

I really love coming here. There's a hometown kind of atmosphere, and all the amenities are top notch as well. We are lucky to have this great club in Wheat Ridge!

Our wedding was held here and it was such a great experience! The staff was so helpful and maintained an open line of communication throughout the entire process. SO happy we chose this place for our ceremony and reception, and would definitely recommend for anyone else who wants to hold an event here. Great experience for a great price!

We booked this venue for a our wedding and it was much better than I was expecting. I did not get a chance to view the site prior to booking and we do not live in the area. We were pleasantly surprised at how everything turned out. Katie was great to work with and definitely helped keep everything straight as I was quite overwhelmed with it all. Would recommend this place.

For the value, an annual membership here has been awesome for my family. Late night swims and steam bath or work-out after a full work day and an early dinner are a great way to turn calories into energy + a good night's sleep.!!

I attended an occupational safety and health conference here, and the facilities are fantastic.
Clean, smelling fresh, ample parking, and definitely an asset to the community. The pool was full of the silver sneakers club and possibly the sunshine fun club.
I thought it was slightly odd but entirely awesome that TOOL's "Sober" was playing overhead in the immaculately clean bathroom.
Five stars for that alone.

What a great local gem! Work out room, sauna, hot tub, large lap pool and open swim space, what’s not to love? I have brought family here from out of town to relax and unwind in the steam room and hot tub, they keep asking to go back! Staff is always friendly, kind and willing to help and answer questions. Makes you feel right at home.

Great gym and gymnasium. Track above the gymnasium. Lots of vending machines. Pool is either crowded or no one there so a win/lose situation but good pool.

Wheat Ridge Rec Center has been my go-to place for years. It's great - attentive & fun child care, diverse workout classes, affordable sports programs, and the best sauna and steam room!

I’ve enjoyed the variety of activities offered at this rec center. For only a few dollars per visit you can play basketball, swim in the pool, lift weights and much more.

This is a great rec centre. I don't have much experience with their weight room or cardio equipment, but the racquetball courts are excellent. They're rarely booked, so it's easy to get a court. The staff and patrons are always friendly as well.
