THE Root Beer Stand at Indian Lake

My dad and I got our dinner from the root beer stand this evening. I had the sloppy Joe, the Mac and cheese, and the pretzels with beer cheese. My dad got the chili cheese dogs with onions. We split the pretzels and beer cheese and Mac and cheese it was more than enough for the 2 of us. His only complaint was that he felt like I wasted my money on the 2nd hot dog as the 1st one filled him up. The sloppy Joe tastes about as homemade as you can get it is so good and the sandwich was so big. The pretzels were just lightly crisp on the outside soft warm and delicious on the inside. The warm beer cheese was the absolute perfect compliment to the pretzels. It was awesome and I think this will be our new weekly stop.

This place is a gem, great quality food, friendly people and I love the nostalgia! It’s an amazing addition that was brought back to life, while maintaining all of its original charm, for our Indian Lake community and visitors from all around to enjoy. It’s a must try! The foot longs are enormous and delicious and the Shell Yeah burger is the best! And don’t forget about the RootBeer floats, so yummy, brings you back to being a kid, Don’t miss out!

If you are looking for some good old times vibes and good food, and root beer, this is the place for you. On our first visit, we order a platter which included a side and small drink. We had the foot long with some fries and onion rings. There are at least three root beers, Mug, IBC, and Barq's from which to choose. The fries were a tad salty and limp, but serviceable I wish they had a crispy crinkle cut. That would fit the vibe better. The onion rings were top notch, nice solid onion inside, wonderfully battered and crispy on the outside. The footlong hotdog was great. I asked for spicy mustard, but just got a side of yellow. I look forward to returning and trying their burgers.

The quality of the burgers, hotdogs, hand-cut fries, and ice cream far exceed the corporate fast food chains. We always order ahead online and our food is ready when we arrive!

I will take angus beef and hand-cut fries any day over 2 year shelf-life “meat” and fries.

In addition, the atmosphere and location makes this a destination trip. Stay for putt putt or take it to go and eat by the lake.

Decided to have lunch and let the kids play alittle putt putt. Everything was perfect. The lady taking our order or orders, I should say, was beyond kind. Even with dealing with the two 8 yo boys haha.. and the food, perfect and delish. The putt-putt was a 100% according to the boys..they had a blast. Had a great few hours there. This grammy made a great decision for my grand son and his friend. Made our day a good one. Thanks so much! We will be back for sure.

We tried their coney dogs, hamburgers, fries, mac & cheese, and hot caramel shakes.
Very impressed with the meat quality and the friendliness of their staff.

This is the perfect little Old Fashioned Root beer stand. Pam is the best..she made everything on the menu sound awesome...AND IT IS...OMG!!! We absolutely love it. Enjoy the pictures

So glad this place is open again. Been there twice so far, getting the coney’s the first time and a double burger the 2nd time. Everything about both visits was flawless and very happy they are open this time of year (January). Staff was very friendly and service was quick. Great meaty dogs and coney sauce and the burger was juicy and almost falling apart it was so tender. Can’t wait to pick some up and head out on the lake with the fam! Highly Recommended!!

The server was wonderful and patient with us. The food was fantastic and the root beer float was tasty. They did not disappoint.

The Family and I visited the Root Beer stand and I must say I love this place. The food was great and the server Maria was awesome and very sweet and very helpful. She had a smile on her face as she served and cleaned and helped a lot of people. The surrounding was very clean and well kept. I loved the coney dog and union rings and the pretzel bites. My son had the chicken chunks and fries and the root beer float. The atmosphere here is awesome!

Cute lil spot to grab some delicious ice cream. Definitely bring the whole family they plenty on the menu. Enjoy

Tried a variety of items from the menu and all of them were excellent. My favorite was the shredded chicken sandwich and mozzarella sticks. My kids loved the milkshakes! We will definitely be back!

Nice little place. The cheeseburgers were good and made with fresh ground beef not frozen. The french fries were also good, and the service was great. My only complaint was no indoor seating.

Delicious food and ice cream treats! I recommend treating your family to some great food at The Root Beer Stand!

If you haven't been here yet, go!!! The service and food were excellent! We went when they were very busy and we still didn't wait long for our food. The fair fries were so good, our sandwiches were hot and fresh. Parking leaves a little to be desired, but not a deal breaker.

Very nice place to putt putt, get a hamburger or coney and a ice cream. Sure happy it's open!

The place looks amazing, the service was excellent and the food was without a doubt awesome.
We had a variety of items and everything was delicious. We left very full and will be back later for dessert.
It was a long journey for you with lots of ups and downs but you have hit a grand slam with all that you have done.
We will be back many times this summer.

Some of the most friendliness people you will come across. The food was fresh and delicious. I recommend the Philly steak sandwich. Oh they also have Ice cream too. If anywhere near here, this is a must stop.
