Dawn has a wonderful selection of batiks and quilting cottons, quilt patterns, and notions. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Open year round in Salmon Landing, Ketchikan, Alaska. It's my favorite quilt store. Just loved her sign ❤

Though I did not purchase anything, I really liked this shop! The ladies working in the shop were awesome at answering my questions! I saw some beautiful fabric, and only wished I had room in my suitcase for it. I was, however, excited to know that they do have a website and can place an order for their fabrics to ship to my home! If they didn't have what I was looking for they were great at letting me know of places, in town, and out of town that I might be able to try! I really enjoy a customer/crafter oriented shop! Definitely recommend this place!

This stop while in the Ketchikan cross port was delightful. She has a nice selections. I enjoyed my conversation with the owner as we discussed how she pivoted her business during the pandemic shutdown in order to save it. I found sone Cori Dantini panels I’d never encountered before so I bought those as souvenirs from this trip, as well as sone other fabrics I fell in love with. It’s upstairs in the “outlet” building Cruise visitors can see when they dock, so don’t miss it.

As a quilter who makes sure to find a shop on every vacation, I searched out the Whale's Tail. It is so charming, super convenient among the other touristy local shops and the shop owner was so friendly!

The staff was very friendly and helpful! I also found a cool laser cut whale appliqué that will make a great Wall hanging.

They have a great selection of unique fabrics & the ladies working there are wonderful!

This was a cute store. My husband even found a wall display for me to make.
