Senior Helpers

I like working with Katey at Senior Helpers (Andersonville location in Chicago, IL). She is professional, helpful and nice. We got two caretakers. They take good care of my sister and are concern about her welfare. When the caretakers are with my sister, I don’t have to worry about her. I highly recommend Senior Helpers for getting a caretaker.

My brothers and I were searching for an in home hospice provider for a family member. Although we’re unfortunately not going to be able to get a chance to use Senior Helpers, they were the only company that I spoke to that I felt truly comfortable with as far as being able to meet all our family member’s needs. We had some fairly complex and specific needs based on our family member’s conditions and Senior Helpers was the only company who was able to meet those needs such that we felt very comfortable with going with them when the time was right. I appreciate Senior Helpers for their willingness to work with us to help our family member and take the time needed to address all our concerns. It was a wonderful interaction and made for one less thing to worry about.

I called Senior Helpers Friday morning and talked to Emily Reed. The hospital had discharged my brother the night before and he needed 24 hour care, he was discharged without any advance notice,@ 5;00pm. We stayed with him that night and knew that we were not able to handle his needs. I called Senior Helpers and Miss Emily Reed TO THE RESCUE!!!!!! She understood the situation we were in, and came over right after lunch. She evaluated my brother and we had a sitter for the 3rd shift Friday night and over the weekend. This helped out immensely, and gave us time off. She was able to schedule for the upcoming week a full time 24 sitter, unfortunately, my brother went back in the hospital Sunday morning. Senior Helpers responded to our needs where other agencies said it would be several weeks before they could schedule. The sitters were helpful, trustworthy clean and VERY PROFFESIONAL in everything they did.

I’ve just recently started working for Senior Helpers. It truly has been a great experience so far. The director has been so friendly, accommodating and encouraging. I can tell she is a very compassionate person who wants what’s best for her clients and employees. I love being able to choose how much or how little I want to work. I’m loving the opportunity to help seniors and their families. Really, just being a friend or their hands and feet when they can’t do it as independently as they used to or don’t have time to do everything.

Words can’t describe how great this company is! I spoke with Emily Reed to get more information for my elderly grandmother who struggles with Dementia. Emily was quick to schedule an at-home assessment with me and was very flexible with her schedule. Emily was early to our scheduled assessment and blew my family away with her incredible personality and professionalism. I was able to sign my Senior Helpers contract that day and had a caregiver at my grandmothers house in two days. Anytime I called with a schedule issues, Emily was quick to answer and help me solve these issues immediately (even on a Saturday!). I would recommend this company to anybody if you need help caring for a loved one! Their prices are very competitive too! Thank you Emily, Denton, and all the other staff at Senior Helpers!

I would like to thank Senior Helpers and Emily Reed for how quickly she met with my parents and talked to them about their needs to make sure she matched them up with just the right person and that she did!
Gabriella is wonderful! She realizes how much my parents home means to them and takes great care in helping them be able to keep it looking the way they want. She is hard working, patient and kind. My parents actually look forward to her coming. Her caring, compassionate manner has definitely won them over!
