The Snake River Farm Minnesota

When our prime local grocery could not obtain Wagyu Corned Beef this year around St. Patrick’s Day, it was time to try other sources. My butcher was kind enough to tell me about Snake River Farms. It was a delight to know that they are right here in Minnesota. They are also located en route north to my home farm; I’m so impressed with the company that we’d like to see about visiting this summer.

My love for a good Corned Beef Stew has grown over the years. It’s perfect for warming up the soul and tastebuds during Minnesota winters. The Snake River Farms corned beef brisket was the base of the best stew I’ve ever made. I purchased and made three different batches this year so far. None of the other corned beef briskets came close to the flavor and tenderness of the SRF’s one. It doesn’t arrive with a small packet of seasonings tucked inside. Rather, the entire brisket is vacuum sealed in a package where the entire cut of meat is marinating in it.

From the moment that my doorbell rang and I saw the SRF’s box, I knew we were in for an exceptional experience. The boxes are clearly marked “Perishable” in big white letters on a black background with the name and logo bold and readable. We are amazed at how carefully and expertly packed each order has come. And not only that, it arrived precisely on the day that I requested it. No need to find room in the freezer; it’s here the day that I want to prepare it for dinner guests.

The meat arrives well packed in thermal controlled wrappings and inside a delightful SRF’s insulated bag. (We’re reusing them when needing to travel with foods we want to keep cold).

The bacon we purchased is nicely marbled and very “meaty”. We went through 1.5 pounds faster than normal - it made breakfasts a real treat. It was my first introduction to American Kurobuta Pork that is hardwood smoked. Clearly, the SRF staff have years of experience raising animals and offering consumers an excellent product. Long before these meats went to packaging, the intent to provide an exceptional dining experience had truly started.

The follow-up messaging and desire to know we received our product is remarkable customer service. They also send recipe ideas and request feedback. Their meats’ flavors are so remarkable that I recommend taking the time to plan your preparations ahead of time. You’ll enjoy them more if you don’t overcook them or drown out the taste with too many seasonings.

The Snake River Farm Minnesota sells some of the highest quality most natural meat you will ever find, and it's the kind you will never find in a grocery store!

Don't confuse the Minnesota business with the "SNAKE RIVER FARMS" brand from Idaho. The Idaho brand is one of the nations largest producers of American Wagyu beef and Kurobuta pork. Nothing against the Idaho company, but these are VERY DIFFERENT businesses.

A true adventure on a farm. Includes pigs, cattle, goats, sheep, horses, chickens, ducks, and bison. Many antique tractors on display. Hayrides available on request with 230 acres. The Snake River runs through the property.
