Katalina's Kitchen

Everything was hot & fresh! We had some tamales and a cheese quesadilla. Everyone was really nice. They had a couple kids selling lemonade, caricatures, and headbands when we went which was so cool! They're menu is expanded, so almost everyone can choose for something to eat. They even had vegetarian options for those who don't eat meat! Great Experience overall!

I live in ohio and I come to monroe to visit family and I always make sure to stop and grab some Tamales! Best I've had outside of family's. 10/10 recommended! Staff is also extremely helpful and positive.

This is a hidden gem!! This place would be packed if it wasn’t in a quiet mall. Food was amazing.

I get Quesadillas every time I come to the mall and they're always hot, fresh, and delicious! I crave them and will come up to the mall just to order some. My boyfriend and I went there just yesterday and it was his first time. He loved it! Its important to support family owned businesses in this time. Taco bell might be cheaper but I'll take quality over quantity any day! Very sweet and attentive people working there. I look forward to my next Quesadilla!

My husband and I have been to many Mexican restaurants. Today we tried Katalina's Kitchen at Frenchtown Mall in Monroe.

Oh my gosh, homemade pinto beans, shredded beef bean burritos and rice. By far this was the best I have ever had. I don't like the rice at other places. But I liked this rice. I am very fussy. My husband is not. We both enjoyed our burrito dinner. The salsa is perfect. Prices are very comparable to all other places we have been. We will definitely be revisiting Katalina's in Monroe.

Was at Spencer's and seen this new place and gave it a try. The tacos are to die for. Recommend to everyone

This place is great. Service was exceptional and the food is tasty. My only complaint is about the sweet tea. I’m from the south and northerners don’t know much about a proper sweet tea. Lol so that certainly not Katalina’s Kitchen’s fault.

The food is so good here, you can definitely tell everything is made fresh and homemade. The staff is also very very friendly! Amazing family owned restaurant where they treat you like family. Will be returning, thank you !

Been wanting to try this place for a loooong time and i feel so dumb for not coming sooner, the crunch, the freshness of the food. This is real home cookin folks, and about the prices we gotta keep in mind places like this with good food ARE NOT FAST FOOD CHAINS.
The prices at taco bell are because they can buy so much bulk. This is a small business that delivers better food at not much of a price difference

Great restaurant :) The tamales were very good and so were the tacos. This was a much needed restaurant in this area. The food was great and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I will be back soon :)

Im so excited i found a place that makes tamales like this.
No where in monroe makes this good.
Im originally from detroit area. So for me the taste has to be perfect. And thats what i got was nice fresh food with a great service from staff. Thank you so much it bring me joy.

The food was amazing. The chicken was good and very well seasoned. I would give katalinas kitchen a 5 star.
