Hancock Harbor Marina

I came to see the Futuro House, but alas, she was gone. But not to the scrap yard, thankfully. A fellow out of Ohio, I believe, purchased her and had her shipped out there with the intention of a rehab and use as a template to manufacture more. That's awesome news. This particular one had some history in Wildwood, NJ. I'm on the hunt for the one that was in Seaside when I was a kid. I even got to go inside it. Would've been around 1975. Awesome memories. In any case, the rain was heavy here at the Marina today, but there were still great things to see. The iconic Gulf Fuel sign, an awesome navigational beacon, a rescue tower that either ospreys or eagles have taken up residence in, and a smashed up set of modular pod shelters that I've seen before but can't recall where. Circa 1970s as well, like the Futuros. More to follow on that. Enjoy. **Update** I may need to revisit this place and ask the owner about those modular shelters. I have found something about them but very little that explains their history. A young artist painted them and referred to them as the "Marshmallow House." That's where the mystery deepens.

Scott is a great guy and very helpful. His staff help us come into the dock, tie us up, refuel the boat and set us up for a.comfortable layover. Highly recommend this marina and the restaurant as well.

Scott was SUPER helpful to us in need of gas in our boat. After we returned to Bay and big waves had kicked up Scott let us return to marina to take a slip for the night. Help docking our boat was appreciated. Thank you, Scott & Caleb😊

Great staff and affordable. But they are all but closed now that it's the 1st of October.

Great place. Wonderful deep river giving access to the Delaware Bay. Food is great at the BaitBox restaurant.
