I originally began my divorce with different representation, but was so relieved and impressed after one meeting with Leigh that I immediately switched and retained her instead. I had my initial consultation over the phone with Miss Daniel she asked me what things I find important in an attorney. I answered 1. knowledge 2. sincerity and
3. accessibility. And then I went on to describe what I thought was a fairly unique position I’m in and she said oh we handled someone in that same position to three weeks ago. We then discussed where my position could evolve into and she said, that can be certainly more complicated but we just did one of those about seven months ago. She seemed very knowledgeable and instilled a lot of confidence in her knowledge and abilities . As I started to complete my paperwork I was handed over to Deborah Birch Who may be a junior lawyer or a paralegal.
Deborah was awesome. She was Johnny on the spot with the paperwork. If I didn’t understand something Deborah was there to explain it to me. It was very comforting knowing that I could send an email and usually that day but no longer than 24 hours and I would receive a response that I can understand. The whole team works well together and the client is the main beneficiary of their individual expertise and experience. What more could you ask for in a Law firm. I had originally conducted my first call/interview and spoke with Ms Daniels. She asked me what qualities I find important in an attorney. I stated.1. Knowledge 2. Sincerity and 3 Accessibility.
I must say, my situation was what I thought unusual and I was very nervous. In our first consultation I told Miss Daniels my situation, and she said, oh yes, we did one of those a couple months ago. We then discuss other situation that mine could evolve into and she said those are more complicated but I did one of those about seven months ago. I want to commend Ms. Leigh Daniel for her advice and support walking me through a process I was not at all familiar with. Leigh was very knowledgeable, very relaxed, down to earth, simplified things and made me feel like she had everything covered. I found Leigh online through her "Not Legal Advice" videos. After watching several of her videos, I had a good sense she would understand the psychological dynamics of a toxic and dysfunctional marriage, and would know how to handle my case. After meeting her in person, I found her to not only be competent, but calm and compassionate. I would get concerned and confused about details in the case, my wife's sloppy threatening attorney, and many other things, but Leigh always had a clear eye on the what the main things were. She helped me focus on what mattered and when. When I needed to talk directly with her, I was always able to schedule a face to face appointment within 7 days. With rare exception, e-mails were responded to the same day. Often we would e-mail back and forth the same day. Her staff is competent, responsive and friendly as well.

She is direct and honest, but also very compassionate and gentle. If you expect your attorney to be a sociopathic, rabid pit bull with AIDS, hire someone else. If you want someone who is effective, direct, honest, compassionate, strategic and isn't going to manipulate you to drag your case out contact Leigh.

Leigh Daniel and her staff (in 2023, Jenn - paralegal; Pete - reception) were consistently responsive, competent and encouraging, and always embodied a comfortable balance of professionalism, courtesy and compassion. While my case wasn't as complex as some, it took longer than I had hoped, due to indecision and stall tactics solely on the part of the opposing party and their counsel. Through all of it, Ms. Daniel was supportive and committed to ensuring my priorities in the case were the primary focus: my daughter's well-being, and a settlement I could live with and sleep with at night. On several occasions, Leigh took time after hours and on weekends to respond to a question or provide status, even if just to let me know she would reply in more detail on the next business day. When asked about matters only marginally related to the specifics of my case, she was open and generous in offering insight based on her own experience, and always made it clear when her input was her own thoughts/opinions and not necessarily formal legal advice. My lawyer was Leigh Daniel and I hired her to represent my divorce (without children) case, and this review will include the following: Outcome of My Case, Professionalism, Response Time, and How Much It Cost.

Outcome of my case:

I researched a lot before hiring a lawyer, and to be honest, I was unsure of the outcome and wanted realistic expectations. Leigh was exceptional in guiding me through the process, clarifying my case, and alleviating my anxiety. We achieved precisely what I wanted from my divorce and more.

Professionalism:

Whether interacting with the billing office, Haley (the legal assistant handling my case), or Leigh herself, each demonstrated outstanding courtesy and respect. They promptly addressed any issues I had regarding my case, necessary documents, or payments. My documents consistently arrived on schedule to the opposing attorney, and Leigh arrived early and well-prepared for my trial.

Response time:

My case spanned two years from beginning to end. If I had a question about something, it was answered by Haley or Leigh within a few hours or next day. I hired a lawyer before coming to Leigh for help and it would take weeks to receive a reply to a question. Given my commitments in medical school at the time, their swift responses were more than helpful. I've had a few post-trial questions which received the same prompt attention, without additional charges

Cost:

This is the only thing I was not a fan of, but I am realistic and know that I am paying for experience, things going on behind-the-scenes that I don't know about/see, and an extensive breadth of knowledge. My previous lawyer cost half, but he wanted me to do most of the leg-work, showed up to my mediation late, and unaware of what was going on. In hindsight, you get what you pay for and I would do it again if given the same opportunity.

Leigh and our Paralegal, Christine were our closest confidantes for months. They worked tirelessly on our case and were always so helpful and willing to work with us no matter what got thrown at them. Leigh is very straight-forward and knowledgeable about the law. Christine is very good at collecting, organizing and understanding the evidence. They are a dynamic team and if we ever need a custody attorney again they will be our only call.

Leigh Daniel has helped our family on two different occasions. The whole process was easy and stress free. Leigh is efficient and straightforward. She was upfront and transparent about the process and cost. We knew exactly what we were getting into. We would definitely use Leigh again if the need arises.
