Lichee Gardens Monroe

I walked in and had great interactions with the owners, who also operate the restaurant. The food was Very delicious, I’m a veteran and have traveled, this is Very good Chinese food, and very proud Americans running it.
Make this one of your stops through town for sure.
Whenever they open up for dine in, I’ll surely bring my family in.

It's hard to enjoy the food with that Trump sign in dining area! That may explain the bad reviews!

If you want quality, this is the place to go. Best Chinese in southeast Michigan. The soups, egg rolls, and dinners are all top shelf.

My family has come here for years and have never had a bad experience. We love this place! The wonton soup is my favorite! I visit this restaurant every time I’m back in town.

I went here as a kid with my mom and sisters. God rest their souls. Best food I have ever had. I compare all cuisine of this type to Liche Gardens. Living in So Cal, they just don't have this flavor. Vegas had good food, but not like Liche Gardens! Thank you for being open on Thanksgiving years ago to save me from my mom's cooking, God bless her soul. Merry Christmas!

Haven’t had Chinese I’ve liked since China Express closed. This place is great. The food is more authentic tasting and less sodium and corn syrup. It was piping hot and delicious even though I picked it up a half hour late. I’ll be coming back!

If you like that old school chnise food when you was a kid in the 80s that your parents barely shared with you this is the place to go great shrimp fried rice and they give you the brown gravy on the egg foo yung this is the spot for old schools that know what good quality chnise food is its similar in taste to a place in Detroit called paradise my favorite hidden jewel in monroe

The food is fantastic and the portion sizes are more than enough. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often. Whenever I am in town I make it a point to stop out. Get the General Tso's!

This place has been the same for years and it’s absolutely amazing! The almond chicken is a favorite of my family’s. I come here every time I visit my hometown!

Love the almond chicken and egg drop soup. I have been eating here since I was very young. No place on earth has ever compared. This is the BEST and it's AUTHENTIC!! Thanks for another great meal. I'll be back.

I'll admit I've only had 2 dishes here and sweet and sour chicken is my absolute favorite, but if you like Chinese food you will love it, I'm sure! The owners are super nice. Sometimes they are busy for the 2 of them, it's only ever 2 of them there. But you won't regret stopping in.

Eat there regularly; Jin & Helen are sole proprietors (no employees). Great Chinese food, service, & friendly staff. Reasonable prices & the portions are large enough; you can take leftovers home for midnight snack, tomorrow’s lunch or dinner. Once they get to know you, they’ll often come over to the table and chat. Always ask you if everything is okay. If you have an issue, good or bad, tell them, they will go out of the way to make you happy. If you travel some distance to get there, please call to make sure they’re open, they travel to visit their children & grandchildren quite often (caring parents/grandparents) & they close the restaurant for a while. I'm diabetic, they remember every time. If I order something & they can't withhold the sugar, they immediately tell me.

I love this place!! I hadn't had it in a few years but our food tonight was just as I remembered, AMAZING..The owners are are lovely,he even carried it out to our car for us..Recommend 1000%

Absolutely delicious! I've been going to Lichee since I was a kid(about 40 years). Since leaving Monroe about 30 years ago I haven't found a Chinese restaurant that can compare.
Yesterday, l had their General Tso's chicken, wonton soup, ham fried rice, egg roll, dinner roll and almond cookies. Everything is made from scratch and so delicious. Its been owned by the same lovely couple for over 40 years. Anytime I'm in the Monroe area I try to stop in. If their restaurant was in Ann Arbor I'd eat there multiple times per week.

I've been eating here since I was a child and will never get sick of it. Best of its kind, the egg rolls and plum sauce could be a meal on their own.

Definitely a Hidden gem of Monroe. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and it was so crispy, also the rice that I had as a side was delicious and it was a huge portion. Please note, they do not have fountain beverages but you can get a can of soda.

Been here countless times before I moved south. Now I make sure to stop here any time I'm within 20 minutes. Great quality food, great portions, and still awesome prices!

I've always felt well-taken care of when I eat here. The food is great, the hot tea is excellent (unlike most other restaurants I've been to recently), and the prices are very reasonable. Favorite place in town.
