Wright's Nursery (Open by appointment)

We had a wonderful experience at Wright's Nursery today! Barbara and Bobby are extremely kind and accommodating (we showed up without an appointment/reservation and they helped us as soon as they were done with a customer who had an appointment). They have a deep knowledge and amazing inventory of native and native adapted plants and are very helpful in guiding you towards those that will grow well in your area. They have been growing native plants since way before it was cool/mainstream and they have a genuine passion for it. We will absolutely be back the next time we plan to be in the area (and will make a proper appointment next time too). Great people and a really cool, authentic operation: Can't wait to return!

Very friendly and knowledgeable owner. You must make an appointment to visit, but the drive and the appointment are worth it. The owner is all about educating about native plant life. Everything we've bought here is thriving at our home. Love this nursery and recommend it to everyone!

Fantastic place to visit! The owner is a very knowledgeable Master Gardener and specializes in plants native to this area. She has 2 large greenhouses and a huge selection of outdoor plants. Make sure to contact her first before you want to come out, since it's by appointment. This is a hidden gem in the hill country.

Barbara Wright's Nursery is always a pleasure to visit! She has hidden treasures everywhere so make sure you schedule ample appointment time for exploring. Barbara is a veritable trove of information, so have a chat with her and she's sure to help you find a plant (or more) to fill your needs. Enjoy this wonderful world of Texas natives and more!

A MUST STOP if you are in the Georgetown-Lampassas area. Barbara is very knowledgeable and professional. Her plants are worth every penny. She does retail and wholesale, and will grow in large quantities "on contract". Some of her stock is planted and propagated at the National Butterfly Center and other great gardens across Texas!

Great place to browse and look at plants and butterflies. Wonderland of blooming plants and winding paths. Rare Texas plants. Friendly, big dogs.

This place is magical!

This is the plant l was sold , and that is the container it came in . And it WAS your display as l had been to the nursery a short while before , and asked if you remembered me . To which you replied that you did . And l do know that that is a Chiveplant .

I was at the Lampasas Blooming Fest earlier this year and bought , what l was assured , a Blackfoot Daisy . I thought the leaves looked peculiar , but after they assured me that it was a daisy , l went ahead and got it . As it grew l realized it was nothing but a chive plant ! Not a happy customer !!!

Drove 45 minutes to visit this "nursery" only to discover the sign posted on the gate in front of a normal looking house (no nursery equipment, frames, etc.) that states "by appointment only".

A hateful owner. Awful awful experience. Not worth the drive. Go literally anywhere else.
