S. Lickfork Boat Ramp

Love this boat ramp. It's easy to get your boat in and out. It's not very crowded, either. There's so really good fishing here too. If your looking for privacy, this is the place to put your boat in... Your not going to have all that boat traffic like you do at the other boat ramps. Yes, it is on the other side of the lake, but that's the point. Growing up this was the only boat ramp my father and I ever used. My dad was making me back the boat down this ramp, when I was 10 years old. When I see people having trouble backing their boat down, all I can do is laugh! 😃
And remember all the times my dad would bet money on me being able to back a boat/trailer better than any man at the lake. Those were the best days of my life! R.I.P. dad...
I love this boat ramp. I seen a couple comments from people talking bad about the steep hill. That tells me they are a Credit Card Boat Captain... Those of you that don't know what that is... They have more money than brains! Nice, Big, Expensive Boats and they can't even back it down the boat ramp! Hahaha! My family owns most of the property around the lake in this area. Some of it filled in when they built the lake in 1980. There's not much that I don't know about Potako Lake.

Nice large ramps, excellent installation, and cement ribbing for grip.
Night lighting would be a plus, but that might interfere with people drinking on the docks at night.

Great stop to see Patoka lake.

The ramp is very steep and long here. We left and went to the one at the marina just up the road.
