The best wedding venue in NE. Do not hesitate to book! I can not stop recommending this place to everyone. All my family & friends loved the place & on top of it all, the owners are amazing people. They truly care about ensuring you’re having a great wedding & helped with the clean up even though they really did not need to. Our wedding was July of 2023 so this is a tad bit late but I’m still getting texts about my wedding today which reminded me to put this review up. Fully customizable venue & you can even have your entire day there. We opted to have our ceremony in a church in Portsmouth then the after party here.

It’s hard to put into words how perfect this wedding venue was for us. It sounds so cheesy to say it but the first time we walked in we knew instantly that this was the place we wanted to get married. When we began looking at venues, we knew we wanted to find a place we could really make feel like our “own” but that stood out on its own as well & this was it.

The venue & the grounds are so incredibly well taken care of. When you walk in you instantly know that there’s a lot of care that goes into this venue. It was so nice to be able to bring in our own vendors, but to also have a list provided by the owners of well-trusted ones, too. We loved having that flexibility and it really helped us create our own unique wedding day.

Beth & Chuck take such good care of this venue and took such good care of us as well during the planning process. They were always easy to reach and answered so many of our questions throughout the process.

We are forever grateful to have found this gem at the beginning of our engagement. It will always be a special place to us and we hope others have the same experience!

A perfect day! Almost 2 years of planning went off without a hitch thanks to Beth & Chuck. They are so passionate about what they do and it shows! I am so glad we chose this venue and we've gotten countless compliments on the space and our day. The planning process was smooth, there were plenty of vendor choices plus the freedom to find your own, the cottage on site was perfect, and it was great we had the venue for the entire weekend. If you are looking for a special spot to have your wedding - this is it! I'd do it over 100x if I could!

The best venue - DO NOT HESITATE TO BOOK! My husband and I got married this past August and after touring a few venues we immediately knew Powder Majors Farm was our spot. Beth and Chuck were so warm and supportive throughout the entire process, and as a DIY bride planning her own wedding I would not have been able to do so without their help and guidance! Our guests were WOW-ed with the venue, and we couldn't agree more. Thank you to Beth and Chuck for an incredible wedding venue - we are beyond grateful for the memories that will last a lifetime!

We had our wedding at The Barn at Powder Major's Farm in June. The venue is perfect - dreamy, romantic, whimsical - everything I envisioned! Beth and Chuck were amazing to work with throughout the entire process. Whenever I sent a question to Beth, she responded within minutes. It rained during our ceremony, so we had to have it inside, but the indoor setup actually felt so intimate and cozy. With the sound of the rain drops hitting the windows, it really felt magical. The rain stopped by cocktail hour, and our guests marveled at the beautiful outdoor parts of the venue. The morning after our wedding, Beth and Chuck had been kind enough to package up our decorations for us. This probably saved us a couple of hours of work! We can't recommend this venue enough!!!

We recently had our wedding here and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough! When you book your wedding here, know that you aren’t just getting a beautiful barn and surrounding grounds, but you are also getting two hosts who care deeply about providing the best day for you and who go above and beyond to make that happen. We were lucky enough to get a great New England fall day and we got to truly enjoy everything that the venue had to offer. Everywhere you look, Beth and Chuck’s attention to detail and love for the history of their property and the surrounding land is evident. You are truly in the best hands at Powder Major and they really have an uncanny ability to take what can be a stressful process and turn it into the most memorable day for you and your loved ones.

We had our wedding here. It's a beautiful venue, tons of history, and great owners. The vendors for our wedding mentioned how nice the set up was on their end. We feel lucky that this is the place we got married.

This is the most fantastic quaint venue for a wedding anniversary party or just a reunion. Also has a big area for dining and dancing and entertainment great venue! Highly highly recommended, also could be used as a company outing venue there's a lot of outdoor space to set up outdoor activities.

My husband and I got married here recently -- the venue is breath-taking, Beth & Chuck care deeply about the venue and the grounds (plus are incredibly helpful), and I cannot recommend this place (or people) enough.

This new venue is an absolute gem. Nestled in Madbury on a beautiful plot of land, surrounded by conservation area, you and your guests feel private and intimate, while only being 20 minutes Portsmouth or a little over an hour from Boston.

The barn truly speaks for itself and it’s history is an added bonus. This is not a rustic, burlap and mason jar kid of place (unless you want it to be) - the barn is a completely beautiful, empty canvas for you to create exactly what you want. We opted for minimal decor to show off the barn and the property - it was stunning.

A few things that make this venue stand out:
- The adjoined secondary event space, which is light and fresh and an absolutely beautiful “rain-plan”, should you not want to celebrate outdoors or experiences inclement weather.
- The farm table and chairs for 150 guests. No need for a massive rental order here!
- The built-in, brand new bathrooms and AC/heating unit. Say ‘no thank you’ to toilet trailers and weather woes.
- The land and sunset. Looking for outrageous ‘Golden Hour’ photos? This is the never ending lawn for you.
- The owners. Chuck and Beth have poured everything into this property. They are exceptional to work with - flexible, responsive, and friendly. We had an excellent experience working with them to create our dream event.

Beautiful, peaceful venue for a wedding

This place is beautiful! A diamond in the rough, The grounds are maintained so good and so pretty! DJ'ing here is amazing because the owners are so very accommodating and kind! If you're planning on getting married, this is the place to do it!

I got married here on 6/4/22. The venue is beautiful inside and out. Beth and Chuck do an awesome job, were helpful and easy to get in contact with. I am so happy we chose to get married here and recommend it to anyone!

There isn’t much that can be said that probably hasn’t already been said about Powder Major’s Farm but as a venue we couldn’t have been more happy. All of our guests were in awe of how beautiful the space was. Above that we chose it because it not only has a beautiful outdoor ceremony space but also a great backup option in case of rain. On our day, we had to make the call to move our ceremony inside due to this and looking back on it, it was intimate and just perfect. Not only that, but Chuck and Beth were so helpful throughout the process and go above and beyond what a venue typically does! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful site to get married and have a wonderful reception!

Where do I begin! We chose Powder Major’s Farm as a venue for my daughters wedding June 4, 2022. We were all so pleased with our choice.
Set on the grounds of a lovely antique farmhouse dating back to the 1700’s and beautiful timber framed barn which was restored authentically. The barn was adorned with beautiful chandeliers, farmhouse tables and lighted beams for ambiance. In case of rain attached is a smaller timber frame structure which doubles as a bar. Our guests were amazed about this secluded gem!
The ceremony took place on the large circular patio overlooking acres of green pastures, a pond and charming old cemetery. The grounds also are surrounded with a variety of perennials adding to it’s beauty.
We were given access to a bridal suite for hair, make-up and dressing.
Chuck and Beth Goss are the owners who were so helpful and accommodating. Sheer Perfection!

The Barn at Powder Major's Farm was truly our dream venue. Chuck and Beth we willing to work with us every step of our wedding journey: from being the first clients to book with them, to postponing due to the pandemic, to all the wacky things that pop up the week of your wedding. When our musicians were unable to attend last minute, Chuck and Beth were there to lend a hand and help find us replacement vendors.

I couldn't recommend this venue enough. Did I mention how beautiful it is?

Beautiful establishment allowing a great opportunity to host important events (i.e. wedding). They allow you to utilize the property, responsibly, and have Airbnb amenities onsite if needed. The barn seems newly constructed but keeps the older style theme expected from a typical barn. Tidy bathrooms and great atmosphere all around. Beautiful landscaping offering great photo background opportunities as well!

My daughter had a vision of her fairy tale wedding. We searched for the perfect venue to provide that fairy tale and as soon as we visited Powder Major’s Farm we knew it was what would fulfill her vision. The barn provided a rustic but simplistic elegant atmosphere complete with farm tables, antique chandeliers, and stain glass windows. The venue allows the wedding party to add their own touches, which for us were flickering tea candles in glass lanterns and table runners made with simple real greens. The magical day began with a ceremony facing the beautiful fields of the farm that could not be compared to any other venue we visited. The backdrop of the barn and the fields made for a picture perfect wedding album. The center aisle open dance floor that we chose ran almost the full length of the barn which allowed all of our guests to easily join the dance floor from their tables, which made for a dance filled night. We ended the night sending the new couple out under sparklers under the stars. For my daughter and her new husband no other venue could have provided what they have since described as “the best day ever”. We highly recommend Powder Major’s Farm in Madbury NH.

I attended my niece's wedding in a very beautiful barn and grounds. Pathways are small stone so a bit difficult to navigate, otherwise would recommend for any event.
