I really like this small town post office. They have some shorter & odd hours but are still manageable to work with. The staff is really friendly & helpful (sometimes have to wait a minute or two to get someone at the desk). This is also one of the cleanest post offices I have ever been in.

Posted that a package was not delivered due to lack of access. I walked the road to the house and this simply is not true. The resident family has been here on Somerville route for 50 years. The recent delivery service has been spotty at best and this can only be attributed to laziness. Honesty should compel the carrier to admit they just didn't want to be troubled to bring the package or could not find it. Mail delivery should not be a 50/50 proposition. Getting mine these days is not even that good.

The mail lady coming down our road won’t pick up our disabled neighbors bills! She’s rude to us too and has drove up in our yard to tell us off for reporting her before but nothing has been done and this issue has been ongoing for months. My neighbor can’t drive and doesn’t leave down here unless he has a doctors appointment. His cable got cut off recently and this was our final straw. He has the flag up and everything. What gives? Why is she still working for the public? It doesn’t make her look good at all or USPS because she’s putting someone with a disability at a disadvantage and then USPS has done nothing. Do better.

I have been having mail delivery issues and went to the post office in Somerville Alabama for the third time and spoke to someone named Tanola Coleman who stated she was the postmaster. This lady made every excuse in the book not to solve the issue I was having. Her behavior and attitude were inexcusable for someone that is employed to serve the public. I asked her several times who her supervisor was or the person above her in the chain of command,She refused to provide a name. All this came as a surprise to me as I had been to this post office many times before to conduct business and the staff was always professional and considerate. This was the first time I had ever had any interaction with this particular employee . I filed an official Complaint hopefully that will correct the issues I have been experiencing.

I hate this place, the mail carrier sucks, we've had empty packages, & she's too lazy to do her job, won't drive up the driveway to deliver, puts the stupid notice in the mailbox, or ties extremely heavy packages to the flag or door, which is now warped, or she shoves things in our box & damages them, yet the post master says she's one of their best! She's had many complaints, they WILL NOT do anything about these horrible workers. If our post mistress is the best no wonder the place is a crappy joke. we even went higher up, still, nothing was done. There's so many issues with this one person that i can't fit it all. My whole family has been screwed over by her, many of surrounding neighbors as well. Every time one of us reports her, something worse happens to our mail. And if A package is supposedly "too big" why ride around with it all day instead of leaving it there so the customer can pick it up instead of us waiting for a stupid notice. Its not like she can't tell b4 she leaves the p.o. Plus, more often than not, we don't get mail till after 6:pm. What is that? I pity folks without direct deposit waiting on her uselessness to decide to do her job.

Literally just drove past my house, and didn't bother to deliver my package. Marked it "delivery access unavailable" despite the fact that there was no reason they couldn't deliver it. It's not raining. It's not freezing. There's no trees down or angry dogs out. They just didn't bother delivering it. Looking at reviews and my own experience, this is not the first time this has happened and unless we do something, it won't be the last. Looking into taking legal action because this doesn't feel like it should be legal for them to eithold my mail like this.

I've only used them once to mail a priority mail package to my father-in-law. He never received it. If you want to feel comfortable knowing your mail will be delivered I would recommend avoiding this post office. I wouldn't even use them as a last resort.

Called about a package that wasn’t delivered, said it could be picked up at this location or scheduled for a redelivery. I thought maybe they just couldn’t get up the driveway since we had a bad storm a couple of days ago and a very big tree had fallen on one half of the driveway. Our house sits on a hill so if you don’t continue down the road a little you don’t see that the driveway continues all the way up the hill to the other side. I made sure to make a note letting them know that we have another driveway just a little further down the rod. I scheduled for a redelivery for the next day, and received a confirmation email. Next day comes and no package, and no updates other than my confirmation email. I called the local office it was being held at and the lady on the phone was extremely rude. She would cut me off mid sentence, and would ask me condescendingly if I had checked all around the house for it. She wouldn’t let me get a word in edgewise. Right as I’m about to give her the tracking number she cuts me off again to say she had people in the lobby and immediately puts me on hold for at least 10 minutes. When I finally get to giving her the tracking number I come to find out that the reason it wasn’t delivered was because it was TOO LARGE FOR THE VEHICLE. You couldn’t have told me that, instead of leading me around in circles thinking my package was on its way? It’s all of 20lbs and too large??
I wouldn’t be so stirred up about this if the desk lady wasn’t so condescending and rude.

They always deliver my mail to somebody else, just last week they delivered a package that contained $300 worth of contact lenses that I desperately needed to the wrong address, luckily I was able to find a house they delivered it to because we share the same number but on a different road, I don’t know if our mailman is just illiterate or full-blown incompetent but this has been going on for years and we are all sick of it. I wish the USPS would get shut down and just let ups and FedEx handle it all since these government sponsored clowns can’t.

This Post office has the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. The woman behind the counter should be replaced ASAP. If you live in the area like I do, good luck getting your mail. They have the tendency to lose it or put it in someone's mailbox.

To whom ever delivers mail to E Upper River Rd, your in big trouble. Did you know it's a felony to open someone else's mail? On top of that you left an empty Amazon envelope in my mail box. My Husband and I will get down to the bottom of this and you will be fired, and arrested cause we are going to press charges depending on whether or not you return the item you stole.

Terrible service at the counter and the carriers. They won't drive up my drive if something doesn't fit n the box or if it has to b signed, they just leave a note saying they tried to deliver when I'm standing on the porch and watch them drive right by, that's not trying to deliver, that's being lazy and trying to finish your route n a hurry. They bent my kids school pics that said DO NOT BEND !!!! They bend and crease posters, and if they don't fit they leave it hanging out so someone can steal them or the rain ruin it. They will gladly force something to break to make sure it fits n the box as to drive a few yards and knock on a door. I hv filed complaints and everytime I get a " we'll handle it" from someone who obviously doesn't care one bit and for months after my electric bill will VANISH causing great headache and late fees. So sad we can't take our business elsewhere or complain knowing something will change for the better, sadly I've been here a few years now and nothing has gotten better, the more u complain the problems u get. Almost enough to make u want to move.
