Such a unique hike! The old mining artifacts along the way were so interesting. This hike was a workout, and there were a couple patches of loose rocks to go over. But overall short and sweet, great views, and interesting history. Also enjoyed stopping in at Bread Bar afterwards. It's best to park on Main St. and walk up Silver St. to the trailhead.

Ever want a reason to exist in Silver Plume, this one. The hike is 2.5 miles one way with 1,300 feet of vertical. It has historical markers, old mining equipment, and great views. Trailhead is at the end of Silver Street. Afterwards you can visit the shops in town

Enjoyed slowly trail jogging up this.
Some loose rock and exposure, but not much .
Great views along the hike, ending with a mine and a (potential) stream.

This is my all time favorite hike. I have conquered this trail three separate times and I want to go back again. The views and haunting history behind this place are beautiful and unmatched.
