As we try to venture out and try new places we ended up here. What a great decision the service food and atmosphere were a 10! We both had the Friday fish fry special and added the best beet salad we ever had! Our appetizer choice was the cauliflower which was amazingly tasty. The coleslaw was the best I have had and tartare sauce for fish was a treat. We are going back next week. I can’t forget about the Beer it was excellent. Enjoy this gem.

Great server! Loved the space and the pretzels, beet salad and cheese curds were delicious! Perfect Sunday afternoon.

Great beer, great grub. Stopped in for a beer on Sunday afternoon and to watch a bit of football... we ordered two flights and had 7 different beers to try, and damn if they were not all good. We ended up buying two 4-packs to go. The double smash burger is among the best I've had in a while, and the Nashville hot chicken was excellent. And the wait staff was great. Great place!

I have to be honest: The first three beers I had (when they first opened) tasted like two home brewers trying to make a go at it. But I’ve now had two beers — the Dubbel and the Notoberfest — that I love (especially the latter, which I’ve bought cans of to take home). And the food we’ve had (from the Smashburger and fries, plus cheese curds, to the risotto and current asparagus/pea salad) is fantastic — especially for the price — and has been from the very beginning. We’re perfectly happy this place exists, will enjoy that patio frequently this summer, and look forward to live music. :)

Immediately upon entering I was greeted right away. Service was great and very friendly. I found all the beers here to be good/decent and the food was fantastic! They currently have six beers on tap so I had a flight with all six. And the smash burger with bacon onion jam and cheddar was amazing! I would definitely recommend anyone looking to try out a new brewery to come here and check it out!

Great food, great staff, great vibes. Entrees took a tiny bit longer than expected but those things happen and it was WELL worth the wait.

The Peach Habanero wings had perfect levels of flavor, heat, and crisp. The Burrata was extremely fresh with a lovely creamy center, pistou atop, and served with oil-drizzled crostini. And that's to say nothing of the grilled grapes to finish the dish that were still cool inside with a warm exterior and delicious memories from the grill.
Our steak frites were tender and succulent with a notably verdant chimichurri to add a divine dissonance to every bite. The fries had a texture from home and a light seasoning that doesn't overwhelm.
Our finale of bread pudding will never be topped thanks to its delicate duality of a hot, moist interior and a firm, almost chewy crust.

Tonality provides a youthful, vivacious energy alongside a mature, honed menu where *everything* seems to be made in-house(??). You're treated with a caring intentionality from the owner(s) and their team.
This won't be the last time we visit Mundelein's best new addition.

I came for an event and was super impressed. The food is delicious, especially the cheese curds. It's surprisingly family friendly for a bar with the kids stuff in the back. Will be coming back for sure.

Tried Tonality on Friday evening. The food was phenomenal! I had the schnitzel and my husband had the burger. We shared the giant pretzel - one of the best ones I’ve had. It was super busy inside and very loud but it made for a fun lively atmosphere. We couldn’t get a table but sat at the bar and the bartenders were attentive and friendly! I will definitely be retuning. Highly recommend eating while you enjoy one of their beers!

This place is incredible and I’m excited that they just opened up. Don’t let the name fool you, this is not just a brewing company. The food menu and dishes were incredible and will be its own claim to fame in this town. The miso cod was cooked to perfection. I’m usually picky around my fish and how it’s prepared but this cod melted in my mouth after the first bite. The short rib was a perfect follow up and shows that this kitchen knows how to not only provide familiar favorites, but add their own note to them. Added to this their beer selection shows an intentionality and understanding that great beer matters. I’m usually focused on finding a proper hazy and Tonality doesn’t disappoint. This seems like a brewery that’s focused on making damn good beers. Cheers.

I visited Tonality for the first time yesterday evening and decided to start out small as I was not very hungry. Then this pretzel the size of my head arrived! It was amazing paired with either the cheese or mustard. Needless to say, it was hard to stop eating! With all the bread I felt I needed some veg to go with it. I opted for the fried cauliflower which was perfectly seasoned and complimented with pomegranate seeds, nuts and yogurt. Being the person I am, I also had to try some of the whiskey fudge cake to round things out. It was sinfully delicious. Everything hit the spot and I definitely look forward to coming back for a full meal!

Just opened (Nov 3), I attended the soft opening a couple nights before. Phenomenal food was served, and we got to choose from the first four beers brewed here (see photo). Zach and his partners, friends, and family have gone all-out to convert this old municipal building (firehouse) into a community-centered place to gather for food and drink.

Tonality hosted our son’s and fiancés wedding shower this past weekend. We had about 70 attendees. Matt and his team from the brewery rocked the entire event. The food was delicious and the team he chose to work that day was first class all the way. Called us by name and took care of every fine detail. If you need event space with a great menu, good brews and top notch service…check out Mundelein’s new Tonality Brewing Company.

Stopped in for a beer and a snack. The place looks great, and I have been watching the evolution of the premises for the last few years. Welcome to our town, and I look forward to trying some of the plates.

Great food, beer and service! Had the smash burger and fries. The fam shared edamame, cheese curds and a pretzel. The edamame had an awesome spicy crunch on it!
The Faraday IPA was delish and refreshing. Was bummed they were out of several IPAs, but was pleased with the one I got to try!

Excellent new brewery. Our server was great. She was very knowledgeable and attentive. My friend ate, I did not. The food is kinda expensive but looked high quality and good portions for what you pay. The beers were delicious and fairly priced. I will definitely be back.

This is an absolute hidden gem. This is fine dining disguised as a microbrewery with an approachable price point. The beer has something for everyone, classics, but interesting. If you don’t like beer, that’s okay, they have a stellar full bar with many offerings. But actually, you can just come for the food alone. They have one of, if not the most, elevated (but accessible) menus in the area. You can tell there is love for really good food here. Owner Don is clearly proud of everyone’s efforts and has curated a dream team. They are switching to the spring menu soon, chef Mike will not disappoint. The couple next to me had to hold back their drool when talking about the pork shank. The beet salad could persuade anyone to join team beet. Do NOT skip dessert, the pastry chef knows what she is doing. Mundelein you should be proud. You’d be hard pressed to find anything quite like this outside of the city. It will be phenomenal in the summer with a western facing patio. The old firehouse now clad with a vibrant mural makes it a fun open space with garage doors. I will gladly visit this place again and I’m bringing everyone I know.

Beer is fantastic. The food is OMG. The apple pie is not to be missed. It's served deconstructed with means that every texture is preserved. Perfect balance of sweetness and savory. Can't wait for the new spring menu. We were absolutely stuffed and our mouths were still watering at the description

The bartender was friendly. The Blueberry Beer I thought would be too sour but turned out quite refreshing. The smash burgers were delicious. I would definitely go back

The food isn’t just bar food which is the biggest surprise. The beer is excellent but not a surprise because they brew their own beer onsite. Great place.
