Just come by to visit my longtime neighbors who were buried here in Burningtree Memorial Gardens & it's been years since it was me & the family get to see them alive that was a long time ago.

My stepfather, who is a veteran, was buried, in a plot purchased 25 -/+ for him and my mom, January 19, 2015.
#1. The headstone was finally set after, at least, 6 months. I don't think it was set correctly because every time it rains water stands on the headstone and leaves dirt and sediment to the point if almost covering the left side if the stone. I ask them to fix this several times. This is October 2017, hasn't been fixed
.2. At some point one of the workers there drove the back how over Jim's headstone warping the base of the metal flower vase. I have asked them to fix this as well. Not fixed.
One would think if someone went into the business of caring for loved ones after their passing they would show some compassion and responsibility to make sure they are cared for respectfully.

Parents bought their lotsin the 70's or 80's and the cemetery was beautiful. Very pretty flowers, ( I believe vincas that do very well in alabamas summer heat ) were around the Jesus statue. They liked the area right near a tree that is now dead. Only weeds have been around "Jesus" for quite sometime. Dad was buried in 2005 when I first started paying attention to the cemeteries condition. So now crepe myrtals not cut back and last summer saw tombstones actually hit and displaced. Today (Feb 25, 2024) not even garbage cans to put dead or faded artifical plants. They used to be full. Of course that showed no-one is there regularly. I understood someone should be there through the week but, no sign of that. Noticed the flagpole where there used to be a flag. It is a disgrace. Faded artificial flowers observed and several vases laying down. Only evidence of durt mounds from freshly dug Graves. Some over a year and not smoothed or grass there. I found my parents graveside almost covered with dead grass. This is not right!!

My mother in law passed away over a year ago. We have yet been able to get a death plate put on her headstone. I called back in May and was told they were behind due to Covid. The grounds are so overgrown it’s not even walkable at times. I got fire ants all over me trying to clean off the headstone. Today(8/25/23), I go back out still to find no death plate. They have broken her porcelain angel and it laid on its side covered in grass clippings. The headstone was covered in so much grass clippings you could not even read the headstone or who laid there. I literally pulled weeds out, dirt off and all the grass clippings I could. I attempted to call the office in regards to all of this and it would ring once and disconnect. I pray the people running this cemetery treat their families better than how they treat ours because it is truly disgusting to see the disrespect for all of the loved ones being disrespected after they’ve passed away in such a way that families can’t come visit and feel peace because this place is garbage!

This is where promises come to die. My beloved PawPaw chose this to be his eternal resting place… and the non existent management here is eternally unhelpful. I spent good money on a special stainless steal quote my grandfather always said. They rolled their lawnmower over his headstone and flattened it. But didn’t manage to weed eat so my father did their job for them. When I tried to call and complain 11:00 AM 8/16/23 the phone only rang and never went to voicemail. Maybe they’ll respond to this because I’d rather be buried under a random tree than here.

The cemetery looks horrible. Grass needs to be mowed , garbage cans overflowing! My parents are buried here and it’s very disappointing just how bad the cemetery looks. Fire ants everywhere also. Choose another place to bury your loved one. I wish I had!

This place has gone totally into disarray over the last 8 years! My husband is buried there. If there was a 0-stars option, I would choose it.

Both my parents are buried there. Went to put flowers on their graves for decoration the Saturday before mother's day 2023. It looked like it hasn't been mowed in a month. I was ashamed. Would not recommend ANYONE be buried there.

Shortly after my father died in 1981, I purchased the 2 plots just north of the 2 my mom had purchased for him and her. In 2006 when my mother died I checked to make sure everything was still in order with my 2 plots and found everything was fine. One of my relatives recently told me they heard that burningtree gardens had been sold a while back so a couple months ago I called to verify my 2 plots were ok and was told they were still going through all the records but it appeared they couldnt find my information, but would contact their corporate office. I have called back k weekly since and am told the same thing every time. So today I asked to have the number to their corporate office and was told I couldn't have it because it's not their policy!!!! So, I guess I am going to keep calling them locally til I get results. My advice is this, unless you have family already buried there you need to really consider it before you buy a plot from the new owners because they are not helpful or organized or professional in the way they conduct business!!!

This place is a mess. No contact numbers are actual working. If you are thinking of burial yourself or a loved one, please think of looking elsewhere. Just my experience and opinion

No weed control. What grass is there hasn't been mowed in a month or more. New graves are covered with dirt full of big chunks of slate. Little or no hope of it supporting grass growth.General maintenance is poor.
