I recently stumbled upon a place that felt like stepping into a treasure chest of local artistry—Gallery 209. This year, my family and I were on our hunt for our annual “snowflake,” a tradition where we find a unique piece that symbolizes the year for us. Gallery 209 didn’t disappoint. We discovered an ironwork piece by Aaron Heisler that just spoke to us. It wasn’t just about finding our snowflake; it was about finding a piece that carried a story, a piece of craftsmanship that we’d cherish.

Kathy was absolutely wonderful. I went in trying to find a replacement set of handmade earrings my mother has (one of them had broken). Unfortunately, with it being a gallery, the set was no longer there. But that didn't stop Miss Kathy from getting my information and trying to track down the original artist. She went out of her way to communicate with a network of artists to try to find him and ended up giving me some closure on the matter. In addition to that, she was very knowledgeable on the painting that I purchased while there. You can tell that she really is passionate about the art that surrounds her. I might not have ended up with the earrings I was trying to find for my mom, but I certainly still had a 5-star experience.

Quaint little gallery right across from the river. So many local artist with such amazing pieces of artwork. Have a nice selection of original to prints and something for everyones price range. Was able to grab 2 prints and Erica was working the gallery and graciously sogned the print of hers i bought! So excited!

After enjoying all of the wonderful works of art at this gallery, the gal at the front asked which I enjoyed the most. I told her 2 works that really spoke to me, and low and behold, SHE was the artist! It really was a highlight of my entire week in Savannah. Beautiful soul, gorgeous work. She allowed me to take her photo beside her work.❤

Back in 2015 my husband and I came to Savannah for our second anniversary. We came into this cute little gallery and my husband bought me a handmade ring made of silver and peridot. I still have the ring and the card of the artist that created it. I cherish things that are made by hand by creative artists. Check this little place out!

Excellent gallery with numerous artist's work. The place is run by the artists so they have lots of information about the art. The lady who helped us was very nice and informative. Many affordable options to take home with you. I bought 2 pieces as souvenirs and spent less than $50.

Please go and find uniqueness from Savannah artists that are NOT overpriced. My first visit I bought 3 pairs of handmade earrings for what I paid at local souvenir shops. They were helpful. Thank you Jessica for your bright and cheerful assistance.

Cute 2 story gallery with paintings, pottery, jewelry, and more. The selection is great, there are so many different styles to see and purchase. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

It's located in an old cotton warehouse built between the 1820 and 1850. It's one of the oldest co-op on the east coast and for 47 years its been home to 31+ local area artists. The artists works are exceptional and compliment each other. G209 is a great place to pick up something for yourself, friends and family. I highly recommend this wonderful gallery

Loved all the local art. Bought a beautiful print and also, a silver ring.

I really enjoyed seeing all of the art in this gallery. Much of the art here contained draws from local scenery and experience. as beautiful as Savannah is, you can imagine that the art is exceptionally beautiful. They seem to stock mostly originals, and reproductions of those originals.

My favorite shop on River Street. Shop offers high-end handcrafted pottery, woodturned items and jewelry, along with paintings and prints. I always find somethimg I'd like to go home with.

It was cool. A good setting for art. Make sure to close both doors.

Bought a ring made by a local artist. Mengjie, who is also an artist, introduced the entire ring collection to me and was able to give good advices.

Great little gallery overall. There are definitely good work from some talented artists.
