Great neighborhood bar and grill. Solid breakfast and huge pancakes

The food was amazing and very attentive to drinks, food and entertainment. With kids aged 6- 12 they were magnificent to attending all needs and requests. It may be a bar and grill, but small family owned. I would refer to this anyone who wants food decently priced and kid friendly.

Went in a little before noon on a Saturday for some late breakfast. No interrogations about bringing my family (including two small children) with me; order was taken quickly, we were checked on several times and felt respected by the staff as well as the other customers in what some people may view as an unconventional dining choice for small children. Food was absolutely amazing. Very fairly priced, almost too hot to eat upon arrival and a giant thumbs up on the pancakes from a 3 year old - can't do much better than that.

Mushroom burger!!! The wings are awesome and really love the Carolina sauce!! Sports on TV and old R&R music always playing

Very good food, nothing extravagant, all very high quality, well prepared, Delish. Wait staff was very helpful, kudos! Went above and beyond without a single wince even.

My son and I dropped in Friday afternoon for some cheeseburgers and fries - excellent!

Stopped by to order take out! We were quickly waited on at the bar area, enjoyed a friendly chat with perhaps the owner, food came in a reasonable amount of time & it was still warm & tasty when we got home! There was a generous helping of food, too- we had leftovers for a snack at a later time!

I loved my time here at Vernon bar and grill tonight. We have loved down the street from this place for almost a year now and have never gotten to coming in and man so I regret that but I’m so happy I have now. The food was amazing. You NEED to get a patty melt. And the people working? All super nice and didn’t make it an intimidating bar scene like a lot of bartenders do. There’s pool, darts, a touch tunes, and a few other games. If you’re down for a laid back comfortable environment with awesome American eats you will love this place. I know it’s mine and my fiancé’s new favorite and we will definitely be back!

Easter morning - in a rush and just wanted a quick delicious breakfast. First time here. Ordered kids pancakes, Texas French toast, sausage patties on the side, and southern style breakfast (biscuits and gravy with eggs), two orange juices, and a chocolate milk. Under 30 bucks for the entire meal. Huge portions. Everything cooked quickly and perfectly. Not greasy at all. Waitress was fantastic. She came over several times to make sure we were all set. We will definitely be back!

Live this place, drinks are cheap, bartenders are awesome.

Love the food! Always tasty and fresh. Service is always quick and friendly. Bartenders are kind. Prices are fair considering state of the world.

Now located behind the DQ on Mt.Vernon Rd. Food is just as good if not better than before. We travel an hour just for the philly and to chat with the owner. Strong drinks and good times

Love breakfast here. Spicy chicken sandwich also the bomb. And mango hoenaro chicken wings beat Buffalo Wild Wings fo sho! Love watching jeperdy there! Kinda feels like home with friends. Thank you guys.

This is a family Owned bar-and-grill the food is well madeand filling, the service is great usually by one of the owners and your coffee cup is never empty. if you need other libations those too are available.

During my visit to the Vernon Bar and Grill on Mount Vernon Road Southeast Cedar Rapids Iowa has been once again a pleasant time during this visit. The food is always reasonable priced drinks of good quality and great service. It's never too much of a wait what pool tables dart boards and a few other little things to entertain a group setting for entertainment. Congratulations

This place has great food and perfect service! I've been here several times and it's the same way... Every time. I definitely recommend this spot!

Excellent customer service and delicious food! Only suggestion I have is that they add a changing table to their restroom. Aside from that it is a wonderful experience!

Would be a good hangout if I lived in the neighborhood. Blond hair gal that works there is nice. Drinks were strong but not cheap, said my friend who's a pro drinker.
