Placerville RV Resort & Campground

We stayed in one of the cabins while we were being evacuated for a fire. I was very happy to see the cabins had AC, mini fridge, and microwave. I had booked 4 nights but after the first night we ended up being allowed to go home. The person at the front desk very kindly refunded the 3 nights that we didn't stay. I really appreciated their kindness and would definitely stay here again.

Jay and all the staff here are outstanding! Super friendly and always willing to help solve any situation that came up. We stay here long term with our work in the area and have found it to be the best park to stay in. We can’t wait to stay here again when we’re working in the area. Best park and staff ever!!

First time here, Spent 12 nights. Staff was very accomodating, even made coffee in the morning. My Campsite (56) was nice, glad i had a shady spot, (99 F couple days). Its a Family oriented Resort. Price per night very reasonable. Shower seating a bit small.

Just had a short getaway Fri -Sun last weekend. It was our 1st time there. Very restful with lots to do in the area. Went to AppleHill, did some wine tasting, visited Red Hawk. Had a great walk around the campground. A great place to unwind & relax.We will be back soon

When you get a little older and don't want to pitch a tent and sleep on the ground, this is a great alternative. Try to get a cabin further away from the highway and you are all set. Nothing nicer than camping with a pool, fishing hole and 18 holes of miniature golf. The staff was very helpful.

This is one of my favorite RV parks I have stayed at. The grounds are well kept, the dog area is a nice size, the spaces are big and shady, and there are lots of fun activities to do at the park. My dog and I loved it!

Fun camping spot with lots of things for kids to do! Friday-Saturday movies, train rides, ping pong and arcades.

We've visited Placerville RV Park and Resort many times over the years and always had a great stay. There are many different spots to choose from, and it's super easy to get in and out. The Store is well stocked, plenty of snacks and a great beer selection. The pool is great on a hot day (which is often in the foothills). I noticed the last trip the new owners were investing in some nice improvements and upgrades. Would highly recommend a stay here if you're in the area.

Haven’t stayed in a cabin but my family and I take our family and reserve an RV space. They have been very accommodating to us when we need it. Site is always clean and so much to do for the kids!!
Downtown Placerville and AppleHill are minutes away!

Nice, quiet park. Employees are friendly, pool and hot tub are great and showers hot.

This campground is well maintained. Lots of staff working on the grounds each day. Perfectly clean restrooms. Everyone we dealt with was quite friendly and more than willing to be helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to return to this campground. We stayed in our travel trailer, but we checked out their cabins and they were also extremely well maintained.

What a terrific RV resort and campsite! The Campsite is right off the 39 exit (convenience), friendly staff, beautiful views on our walks. Clean bathrooms and showers. We cant wait to visit again!

We stay here a few times a year to visit family, usually just a night at a time, this was our first time with it not being a KOA. Check in was great, our spot was very nice. They always seem to have a moving going Saturday night. A very nice RV park.

The place is beautiful. Great for kids. Nice pool and amenities. Jay and other staff were very accommodating. There's always someone from the staff cleaning, picking up so the place very nice. Thanks for having us!

Had an incredible stay at Placerville RV Park! Our family especially loved fishing at the pond, and the movie night added a magical touch to our weekend. The Park train ride was a highlight for the kids- they can’t stop talking about it! We’re already planning our next visit for the Apple Hill festivities this year and are excited to stay in one of the nice cabins they have. Can’t wait to be back!

It was a great campground! Staff was wonderful! We will definitely be back! Loved the playground. The movie on Friday night was played very loud which was a bit of a problem for getting my son to sleep. The movie Saturday was at a much better level. It is close to Hwy 50 which is great for getting there but means you can also hear traffic at all hours. My son absolutely loved the train ride with the golf cart! He is still talking about that, and the mini golf, and petting the goats!

We stayed here for 14 days while we remodeled our home it was an awesome place to stay.Didnt want to leave.

Super clean and friendly staff. Kids enjoyed the stay.
There was fish to see and some farm animals.
Pool was big enough for everyone to enjoy. Even movie night by the pool. Very pleasant.

The camp even sent texts out to let you know what event(s) were happening around the park. Found this to be very helpful so the kids wouldn't miss out on anything they may have wanted to participate in.

I have stayed at several campgrounds over the last year and some of them have been really nice, However John and his staff Jay and Anna hands down are far and above the best I have experienced! I even screwed up my reservations and had a 2 day gap in my scheduled stay and they worked with me to find a spot and allow me to stay at their beautiful resort! My kids and I enjoyed fishing, mini golf and even a ride on the barrel train Saturday afternoon. This is now my top pick for staff and quality of resort! If you have kids or family and want a park that is easy to get into, clean and goes out of their way to make your experience a great one, book here! I would give them 10 stars if I could!

After 3 weeks of evacuation from the #caldorfire it was nice to have a week with all the amenities! They gave us free ice cream, a reduced rate and were very accommodating because of our situation. Our 3 dogs loved the Bark Park, pond, geese, goats and horses next door. We loved the showers, pool and spa! All employees and campers were super nice. Sadly some had lost their homes. Thankfully we didn't. Thanks again KOA!
