My husband and I went to the store last night to buy our 10 year old a skateboard and it was such a great experience! I really wish I knew the name of our salesperson, but I can describe them a little bit- in high school, skateboarder themselves, just broke their ankle(well, their girlfriend did lol), and so knowledgeable. They helped us pick an appropriate size board for our kiddo and recommended new bearings and changed them out for us. They also helped us pick out pads and a helmet for him. They were super nice, gave us some great advice on how to get him started, and overall just really rad. They told us if he had any problems to just bring the board back and they could adjust things as needed.

We had never stepped foot in Zumiez before, but our son wouldn't stop talking about getting a skateboard. I'm very glad we gave the store a chance since I had no idea they sold skateboards at all- I don't go to the mall often these days. Not sure if they'll be around if have to go back in, but good luck in the future- you seem to have it figured out!

I also don't want to leave out the other salesperson though! They were super nice as well, but they ended up getting busy on the register after talking to us and that's totally cool because it was busy!

Basically 10/10 would recommend to anyone. We will go back if we need any adjustments or anything else for him in the future.

Great place with great boards. Knowledgeable staff that doesn't mind to help you out with your skateboard and show you around the shop. Everyone in there is chill and the jewelry is less expensive but of decent quality. Big fan of the direction zumies has went over the years. 5 star experience.

andy was gave me me the best customer service i had EVER had in my life. helped my 29 year old son (autistic) pick out a board, and he gripped it for us. apart from the creepy questions he asked us, andy gave us the best customer service ever. very satisfied.
