Pulque Mexican Restaurant

I am so glad this restaurant has been bought by new owners! We had a great time here. The staff from the front of the house to the back was very polite and gave us excellent service. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The food was delicious, and everything we had so far had lived up to this standard. Proportions are a good value for how good it tasted! Margaritas are on point, and the chips and salsa are a key part of what's makes a good Mexican restaurant a repeat destination for this cuisine. The two dishes we got were the Polque Bowl with chicken and the Fajita burrito with steak as the protein. The selection is very tempting, and because of the flavors we enjoyed, I think from the few times we have gone, you can't go wrong. This is probably going to be the kind of place where we will just go down the menu and eventually try it all. I supplied pictures of the menu as I don't see an online version of it to help everyone out who needs more info. Everything is clean and new in the restaurant. They did a good job making it their own. Only time will tell if it will stay up to this standard, but I have high hope for them. Thanks for a great time with my wife and a pleasurable experience we will be back!

Went for lunch and the food is excellent, so fresh and tasty. The prices for lunch were great with large portions. The waiter did well refilling our drinks. Must try this place! A fun atmosphere too.

My wife and I went there for our anniversary. The inside of the restaurant was clean and very festive. The music that was playing on the radio was not to loud just right. Service was great they got us seated right away and chip and salsa was there in less than 2 minutes. Wife liked the salsa. I was not a fan of it . I think it tasted to sweet like ketchup based. Lots to choose from on the menu. Food got to the table in an acceptable time. I ordered a chimichanga plate. The best shredded beef I have ever eaten. Sorry mom it would put a great pot roast to shame. I also ordered a chile relleno. Came with red sauce on it but way too sweet. Tasted like spaghetti sauce to me. The prices are what you would expect . You should come home with left overs we did. Our waiter was very friendly and right there when needed. We can’t wait to go back .

This was second time with this chain, first time this location. Everything was excellent! So good to see this place open again and looking so good! Only thing is having a small plate served with the salsa, which the chips and salsa were excellent! Very reasonable prices, good food and excellent service!

Highly recommend this place. My chicken chimi was excellent. Lots of tender chicken, beans, and rice were spot on. But the kicker was my wife's meal. She ordered chicken tamales and only ate about half when the waitress checked on us, and my wife mentioned that her tamales were a little too spicy. She has a very low tolerance for spicy food. She wasn't complaining, just made a comment. Two minutes later the manager (I'm assuming he was the owner and or manager) came to our table, concerned about her tamales and offered to exchange her chicken tamales for pork tamales with a side of sour cream stating that the pork wouldn't be as spicy. He made the swap and the pork tamales were perfect. What a great gesture. He didn't have to make this exchange but did so to make a customer happy. We will definitely return and recommend this restaurant to our friends.

This was one of the best meals I have ever had at a Mexican rest. The chicken, pork and beef fillings are so tasty not just boiled meat with no seasonings. My compliments to the chef! Grrrreat house margaritas! We will return - anxious to try some of the other enticing offerings on your menu .

Husband downed a whole pitcher of margaritas by himself and the waiter was his biggest cheerleader. 10/10.

We went for the first time last week, and ended up liking it enough to go back Saturday with a larger group. While we did wait close to two hours to receive any food, I have zero complaints. Our waitress was great at keeping our chips full, as well as our drinks. The food was delicious both times. I hope people really give this place a chance, and are more understanding that they are a new establishment, with an overwhelming turnout EVERY SINGLE DAY. Great food, great service, and a great establishment. Someone who I am assuming was the owner, or maybe a high up manager, came to our table to check on us, and was complimentary of my family. We will absolutely be going back.

Food was really good. Service was prompt and friendly. I had the spinach enchiladas and they were delicious. My husband had the burrito California. It was huge. He said it had good flavor. There were jalapeños in the burrito which was unexpected but delicious. Margaritas were good and they have Negra Modelo on draft! I would eat here again.

Honestly was a little hesitant to try our small towns New Mexican spot after loving Ruiz & seeing some of the reviews left here - Was incredibly impressed by our dinner tonight, service was great, food was DELICIOUS, fresh and fast! Every staff member had a smile and was very polite - our 8 year old son says this is his new favorite restaurant! Fajitas were great, Torta was incredible (softest and butteriest bread), and the flautas are what made his mind up that this is his new favorite place! I know the people who had a long wait or “cold food” were most likely there when they first opened & were jam packed - coming from the industry these are all understandable “mistakes” in a busy new restaurant! Super impressed and will definitely be back soon!!!

I took my family here last week when they opened and met the owner, they are very nice people, the waitress was great and the food was on point! I highly recommend stopping here and trying out their food! As a small business owner @2 crazy tacos, we support other small family owned businesses and I’m telling you, you won’t be disappointed! The food was delicious!

Excellent food and exceptional service at great prices. Everything was so delicious and authentic. We moved here from TX and this is thee BEST Mexican restaurant in MO!! And the Pulque drink is delicious and comes in many flavors.

Second time ive been here. Great service, menu within 10 seconds of sitting down. My margarita was in front of me quickly. Food is excellent. 5 stars hands down. So glad to have a mexican restaurant back in wright city.

Awesome and the most Authentic Mexican restaurant I've been to yet. Great service and very nice people. Even their prices are great.

1st time going and it was absolutely AMAZING! I've been a server for 24 years. Angela ( the owners daughter ) was our server and she was awesome! We will definitely go back and request her as our server!

M first visit was not the best, but, they were still working a few things out. Our return visits have been nothing short of amazing! The food and service here are the best!

This was the best Mexican food I've had! They were busy but our food came out at a good time, considering it was busy. Beef chimichanga I've ever had! Congratulations!

This is the best restaurant in Missouri. If you are tired of taste less food, you have to stop by here.

The Pulque drink is a must try. This is a family owned business and the food and service is fantastics.

Great food. I went with the choose three with rice and refried beans. Wife got the same thing. Tasted great!
