El Charro Mexican Grill

Really loved this place! Great food, service and atmosphere! Margarita was on point! Salsa was ok, but with everything else being so great, it still gets 5 stars from me!

So far we've been to El Charro twice, and both times we had an excellent experience. We were seated quickly by a friendly host; chips, salsa, and drinks were all on our table within just a few minutes; the servers were all friendly and helpful; and, the food was delicious. Ample portions of fresh veggies, perfectly-cooked meats, and plenty of sauces, cheese, and toppings -- we were happy. The prices were great -- very fair for the location, type of food, and venue. This is going to become one of our go-to restaurants!

Came here for the first time today and it was great. The food was very fresh, hot, and very delicious. The service was very good as well. The waitress kept checking on us for refills on drinks and making sure we didn’t need anything else. The inside is very very nicely updated and rustic feeling, and very clean. I would say this is our new favorite Mexican restaurant in the area!

We ate here for the first time and loved it. It is somewhat off the beaten path but still close to the main highway. Portions were plentiful, and the speed of service was great. Food was served hot, and the chip and salsa were just right. The view of the mountains was exceptional. Put it in your GPS, and it should take you there. If you get lost, stop and ask. Go check them out.

We love this location. It is clear that they know the operations of a successful busy restaurant. I have recommended this to at least a dozen people in the last six months.

Any time we're in Hiawassee, we always try to go by here. Great food. We've never been disappointed in anything we've gotten. Big portion sizes, always enough left for another meal. Plus, they carry the big Mexican Coke bottles!

We found this place based on the Google rating and that it was close to our house rental. When we got there it was a bit empty and worried us but it quickly filled up. The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were also very good. I had a mango frozen margarita and a Jalapeño margarita, both delicious. The prices are also very affordable. We had 2 appetizers, 3 alcoholic beverages, 3 meals and we paid less than 70 dollars. The staff was very friendly and I would highly recommend this place.

Every dish we have had there has been excellent! Also love the idea of the special margarita offered between 3 and 6:00 p.m. for $2.99

We visited here from out of town during a trip to Amicalola Falls State Park. We loved it so much we went back the next day too. Seems to be family owned. Staff is very friendly and quick. Menu is extensive and the prices are very reasonable! Will look to visit again when we're back in the area. Highly recommend.

Went today for Taco Tuesday after seeing a previous review. Live in Blairsville and made the drive just to check them out. Was definitely worth the drive. Food and service was excellent. I see a new Mexican restaurant in my future.

Best Mexican food in the Tri-county area! We've tried them all in the area and El Charro is for sure the BEST! Enchilada sauce is perfection as well as the always friendly service!

Never dinned inside. Though it looks like a great environment, we get it to go. Cashier has always been friendly, answering questions about cost, etc. Food is slightly cheaper than similar restaurants in area but better quality & taste in my opinion!

We will be back! Great margaritas and food! My husband and I shared the fajita burrito, it was the best we have ever had. We also had a delicious Taco. We were pleasantly surprised by the nice decor and views. Fantastic happy hour prices, and friendly service.

We had dinner here today. Great food, service and prices. Beautiful restaurant and mountain views from some tables. Waiter was excellent. I highly recommend this place. We will be back soon. They have all my favorite Mexican food and desserts.

Clean, fast and delicious 😋 Best Mexican in the area, by far. Cool drink options too. Complementary chips and salsa are fresh. We'll definitely be back!
