Dr. Richard Showers, Sr. Recreation Center

I have a long relationship with the Richard Showers Center. It is a great place with room rentals but the programs make it so great for families especially single working moms. Their summer day camp was a life saver for me and now they support me in my efforts to pay it forward to the community. They have truly been a needed asset in our community so Thank you to the staff of the center.

Let's be sure to keep the building stationed in place for my fellow black people. That goes for all hours of the day up until closing time. I don't appreciate some of the exclusion that I've been hearing and reading about. Five stars because I know we can continue a legacy the right way.

Splash Pad is an awesome place to enjoy water safely & do outside birthday parties

We always have fun at senior Bingo. And a good lunch. Every one is so nice.

A great local facility that offers free ping pong, swimming, and basketball courts! Occasionally there are other activities such as Zumba and indoor soccer. The staff here are all really friendly and kind

Super cute splash pad! Kids loved it. Lots of shade, tables, and benches. Plus access to restrooms and changing rooms.

I love the Richard Shower's splash pad, we come here all the time. It is a great place for the kids to run around and have fun. It is clean, and the shaded picnic tables are near the gate so you can see the kiddos play if you want to sit and chat. I haven't done too much inside, but it seems like a good facility.

This facility is very clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly.
My son takes swimming lessons with Shelby, she is amazing! We have been to other swimming schools and my son did not learn a thing! Shelby is very patient with children and the swimming classes here are small (5 children max) I highly recommend this place!

We go to the splash pad, which was clean and fun. Great benches and shade. The crowds were normal, bathrooms were huge. Plenty of parking and it was hidden from view from the street. A beautiful addition to the community, I wish there were more community centers around town. We'll go back this weekend, I think.

My daughter's 1st time visit as new patients was a WONDERFUL experience!
They got my daughter's back fast, the staff was very friendly, and great with my daughter's. I highly recommend this Dentist for you and your family!ⁿ

What a fantastic day for my 3 year old grandson. The Splash Pad was super clean with shaded picnic tables, clean restrooms and very kind attendant watching out for the children's safety. Perfection!

We love this splash pad. It's nice that there are shaded picnic tables in the same area as the splash pad.
We will often pack a picnic and our books and do our homeschool here.

A library and splash pad in one place, yes please! All the staff were super friendly, every thing was clean and well kept. My toddler loved the books and splash pad. Bring a picnic! Plenty of shade and seating.

I don't know about the rest of the center, but the splash pad is amazing! Big, with shaded play and rest areas. A slide and all variety of pop fountains, sprays, and Jerry's. My kids love it, and I love that I can see them anywhere in the splash pad from under the shaded pavilion.

The pool was nice clean and warm! But The lifeguard was rude!! She didn't need to w9rk today! It put a damper on our trip! But the rest of the staff was so friendly and accommodating! So I gave them 5 stars... 1 rotten grumpy know it all shouldn't ruin the other staff!!

This is a wonderful place for walking exercise love all the gym equipment grateful to kids love the splash part these are real nice people.
