Flying Fish

First time here! Let me just share my wonderful experience. Tina!!! I loved her demeanor, presentation, knowledge, and most importantly, that bright personality! Flying Fish definitely has the BEST employee there, hands down! Visiting all the way from Hawaii and my cousin and his wife took me to Flying Fish. I've never heard of it. Walked in, so many options. Narrowed it down to the new Lobster rolls! Delicious! Fried okras! Yummy!

I approached the counter, and Tina asked me what I was undecided about. As soon as I said lobster rolls, she said, "Get it! It's goooood!" I at first said that and minus the fries and coleslaw, and my cousin said,"Skip that, he'll get it as is with the okras on the side." I was trying to be a little complicating, and Tina just burst out her fun self and just made my first experience already a memorable one.

Food came out, it was delicious! The view was beautiful and the location is definitely in a nice part of town.

Overall, I'd come back here just to visit Tina! We had to get a pic with you! If you see her, tell her I said, "Aloha!" Tina, much mahalos (thank-you) for making my first visit perfect and memorable!

Next time I'm in town, imma come see you!!! Flying Fish better give you a raise! Definitely one of a kind!

First time here. Me and my family enjoy the food and atmosphere. I can't wait to go back to try more of there selection of sea food. I recommend you come and try it here too.

We went on a Wednesday and they had all-you-can-eat catfish for 17.99. It included fries, a few hushpuppies, and 4 large fillets. When you are ready for more, just go to the register. You can choose how many additional fillets you want. They have a nice menu full of choices from seafood to burgers. Drinks are self-serve. They offer beer and some liquor (margaritas). We also ordered dessert. I was happy the bread pudding wasn't made with raisins! I believe it had small pieces of apple..

My husband and I have eaten here several times. We love the friendly staff and hospitable atmosphere. We joined the Grub Club so we can get deals on delicious food. One of my favorites is Caddo, seasoned tilapia and shrimp served with rice. Stop by soon and bring a hearty appetite.

VERY nice and professional employees, great food. I got the catfish po boy 10/10 and the outdoor deck was nice! The margarita was sizable and delicious as well.

Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at the Flying Fish Restaurant, and it was an experience I can't wait to repeat. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was welcoming and warm, setting the stage for what turned out to be an exceptional meal. I opted for the Rainbow Trout Plate, and it was nothing short of spectacular.

I had the shrimp po boy sandwhich, with fries, and coleslaw, and it was DELICIOUS!
We ordered our food, and within 15 minutes, we were eating!
The music and the BEAUTIFUL VIEW made everything PERFECT!

Celebrating a family member's birthday with having dinner, they wanted to go to Flying Fish. It may be strange to some however I do not like to have seafood unless I am by the sea. Call me crazy but I said what I said. Not wanting to be the Debbie-downer of the group, I humbly complied. I was super surprised and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant was clean and the people working there were wonderful. There were six of us so we ordered a little bit of everything and reluctantly shared once we tasted how good the food was. The bill was very reasonable too.
Our group tends to start ordering all things that look good and the bill can get a little out of hand but I was pleasantly surprised with the total averaging 25-30 per person. Not staying soo true to my crazy quirk about not eating seafood unless I am by the sea, I will gladly go back there again. Did I mention the food was outstanding! Did I mention the people were congenial and happy and very wonderful to work with? Do yourself a "flavor" and go try this place!

Food was absolutely delicious, everything from the flavor seasonings,spices were perfect and portion size for snow crab could of been slightly better but will definitely be back. Margaritas were awesome,it was pretty busy on Sunday when we went however their service was fast and food was fresh! The place was clean and well maintained. The staff were very sweet and worked well with one another. I had a slight mishap towards the end of dinner I stepped away from my table for a quick sec and the guy cleaning tables threw my food and drink in the trash. The staff quickly remade my drink and food to go with no hesitation. Overall great little spot on the water with great views.

Tina and her crew were just amazing as the meal. If you haven’t tried the Flying Fish in Coppel you need to!! It’s a beautiful scenery and spectacular atmosphere. Check it out!

My friends recommended this place as somewhere for us to go on a casual Sunday… The weather was perfect so I really enjoyed dining outside… Now while I typically eat as a vegetarian, but I was not going to pass up the opportunity to have some catfish! The calamari and catfish were great… I can be a little critical because I’m from Louisiana and we know how to season catfish. That could use some work, but overall the experience was awesome! My friends didn’t particularly like the fact that they had to go inside to order their food… It would help the experience if they did have servers on staff (take my order while seated) but that wasn’t that big of a deal to me to reduce their rating.

My husband and I do not get time to ourselves often. Today was a get list and let the road lead us and we landed here for our first stop. The food.. boil is awesome! Atmosphere beautiful. THE STAFF IS OUT OF THIS WORLD and they made our non destination so much fun. 10 out of 10!! Thank you guys! It was a blast!!

Ray loves seafood. Me not so much. Checked the menu and saw chicken and hamburgers. Quit the menu for Seafood lover. Took Ray for lunch. He had a Mahi sandwich with garlic butter and onion rings. I got a cheeseburger and fries. Everything was delightful. The staff were exceptional.

Excellent seafood in Irving area! This place is right on the lake, the view is breathtakingly lovely. The restaurant is very clean. And my favorite part is you can sub the fries with just about any side dishes with no extra charge! It’s never too busy around lunch time.

Fast service, Not fast food. Great combo choices. I ordered jambalaya with bread, tasty sauce, tender vegies, lots of shrimps.
Must try: Jambalaya with bread.

Fresh food, great taste, nice water view from the balcony seats. We did not expect their food has big portion and ordered a lot. We were expect to bring home a big brown bag, and turned out only few left on the plates. It was a very satisfied meal with family.

Great place to enjoy the sunset and hang out on the patio. Super friendly staff, great variety of seafood choices, and a nice sea faring vibe to the restaurant. Salmon salad was awesome but the fried pickles were sized small and too salty. Will definitely be back!

Totally enjoyed the restaurant vibe, and outdoor seating next to Cypress Waters lake. The food is very good and fresh. We ate oysters, frog legs, trout, and salmon. Spring and late summer are a perfect time of year to sit outside.
