Sanctuary at Powell Place Apartments

My girlfriend and I moved in several months ago and so far we love it! The pool has been pretty well maintained, the unit itself is very nice as well as the amenity center and the maintenance team has been very good about giving us any heads up when needed to enter the unit for requested repairs/test’s. Probably the only bad thing I could point out is the units have thick walls (which is good) but thin floors. So sometimes the neighbors can be heard. Which is to be expected with apartment living. Overall we love the unit we’ve rented at Powell place apartments and would recommend to anyone.

I moved here about a year ago. The apt complex is well-maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pool on the premises is wonderful as well as the other amenities such as the business center, fitness room, and pool room. When you submit a maintenance request they respond promptly and give sufficient notice prior to coming to address the issue presented. All in all a great place to live and a good location with a beautiful tree-lined entrance.

4yrs. I absolutely love the manager dominique held. she is very professional and pleasant. her staff is great also. My apartment is so spacious, my floor plan is great. i love all the amenities here also. and the residents are friendly. I am planning on living here many more years!

If you’re looking for luxury, well maintained landscaping, and professional office staff, then head to Sanctuary! My husband and I have loved living here: from the clean fresh pool, to the free coffee & refreshments, and the quick and courteous maintenance staff… Sanctuary comes in number one! Every request we have made for anything we needed help with was answered that evening or early the next morning. They are also animal friendly! The balconies are spacious enough for a couple people and the views are nice. They have washer and dryer rentals available & the bath tubs are so spacious and comfy! I have not seen one bug in my apartment for the entire time we have lived here and that’s all because they take pest control seriously! If you’ve been debating on whether or not to get a tour just call and speak to Dominique. She will help you find the apartment that works for you!

Great place to live . Very quiet day or night. Dominique the manager is very professional and takes care of any questions or concerns I have. The Maintenance guys Will and Phil have been a pleasure every encounter and are always quick to respond to any work orders. Amenities are nice and well kept. BBQ's are always accessible. The property is always clean.

These apartments are very nice and priced well for what you’re getting. My partner and I came on a not so ideal, rainy/nasty day but our tour guide was great! We weren’t rushed through viewing the apartment and Micah answered every question we had, which was a lot. I appreciated his patience and kindness! After the tour he was super helpful running us through numbers and options. Huge thanks to Micah! My partner and I are looking forward to potentially calling this place home soon!

Aptly named, the Sanctuary apartment complex has been a sanctuary for our family during a crazy transition between moving from Georgia and moving into a new home here in North Carolina. We brought our fourth baby home to this apartment as well, and our kids have made friends, enjoy the playground and pool, enjoy family trips to the car wash center and meeting friendly neighborhood pets 🙂 The surrounding Powell Place neighborhood has also been a welcome area for family walks or bike rides. The staff here at the complex is very professional and helpful, and patient with all of our various requests and needs as a large family. The clubhouse is clean and bright and welcoming. We enjoy the grills and sitting areas around the complex. We feel safe here as a family and have enjoyed the community feel. We are so thankful to call this place home!

Wonderful experience renting with Sanctuary! Joanne goes above and beyond to make sure you have an great place to live. We first rented a two bedroom apartment for my mother to come stay over the winter months. Then we needed a bigger place for our family during remodeling. The three bedroom unit we choose is spacious, well laid out and a perfect place for a family. The community of Powell Place has walking trails, is near a park, and is conveniently located to 64 with easy access to downtown Pittsboro as well as surrounding towns. Great experience!

Happy with my family’s decision to make Sanctuary at Powell Place our new home. Our apartment is very spacious, has beautiful hardwood floors, and is loaded with plenty of storage. We have huge walk in closets in every bedroom, and the granite countertops throughout the place are an added bonus. My favorite feature is the huge garden tub in the master bathroom. Joanne in the leasing office was incredibly helpful with our move. She was so responsive and transparent to help us get the best arrangement we could on our lease. We arrived to find the apartment sparking clean and ready for move-in, and we're grateful for how easy the whole process has been.

My husband and I have been here since February 2021. The apartments are nice (lots of closet space!) and they have very nice amenities. We especially appreciate the property maintenance manager, John, who is responsive and super friendly! And yes, Anna and Sierra make the registration process very user friendly for those of us who are not computer savvy. I messed up my first month's rent payment trying to use auto-pay and they gave me a very nice call to remind me so that I wouldn't incur any late fees!

The apartments are so nice and updated. The workout room is the best I've seen in any complex or hotel and the clubhouse has a game room and very cozy main room that is perfect for getting away for a bit. There are two gas fireplaces outside and one inside to enjoy when it's colder, and the pool has zero-entry on one side for the summers. There is a very friendly culture surrounding the residents who live here, and the staff have always been super responsive to any needs or concerns. Our kids have had a great time meeting and playing with other kids around the playground and side-walks. I highly-recommend this complex for families, social butterflies, and people who just want to live in a nice place and keep to themselves.

We are very happy with making Sanctuary at Powell Place our new home! The apartment layout is well designed and complimentary to the space. The kitchen design, especially, is very nice. The amenities are great and we have had a very pleasant experience with all the leasing office & maintenance staff. We definitely will enjoy living here!!

Lived at Sanctuary for a little under a year with my wife. Some of the complaints about the valet trash and movement of staff are valid. However, the complex does not control the valet trash company as they are privately owned. However, if you follow the guidelines and flatten boxes, make sure its no all overweight, and leave the trash in your provided trashcan by 5:30pm Sunday-Thursday and it will always be picked up. The office does a great job providing updates for the trash regarding weather delays or holidays as well. Yes, the office staff has changed a few times. However, its barely been noticeable as they always are helpful and friendly. Another common complaint is noise. the only noise I regularly hear are loud trucks and cars starting or idling. You'll also hear children running around and people enjoying their balconies. That just lets you know that this complex is safe as well. Maintenance crew has changed but is still a great crew and will usually respond to requests same day or next day. There are also some craftsman ship and construction errors, but these are apartments. There are bound to be errors and flaws. Report them at move in and if they're that glaring try to have them fixed. I would recommend Sanctuary to anyone looking to live in Pittsboro or commuting to Chapel Hill or Sanford. Great place to live!

TL;DR: Sanctuary is fantastic and you should live here!

The long version: When my wife and I first saw the signs heralding the construction of Sanctuary Apartment Homes at Powell Place, we had a quiet chuckle. “Sanctuary sounds like a town full of cannibals in a post-apocalyptic horror movie,” we joked. We had no idea that we’d be moving there less than a year later.

During an early pandemic home improvement spree, we discovered a structural issue with our house of 20 years. At worst, we’d need to rebuild. At best, we’d need to move out for an extended period of time for repairs and renovations. We looked at other options first. Every other option, in fact. An apartment seemed like a step backward for us. I’m so glad we were wrong.

After a few false starts with other living arrangements, we finally visited the Sanctuary leasing office in December 2020. The helpful staff reviewed lease options and available units. We toured several units and explored the complex. We learned about all the amenities including a dog park, dog wash, car wash, playground, nightly trash pickup, a beautiful clubhouse, a nice gym, outdoor gathering spaces, pre-wired gigabit internet (only $70/month at time of writing), and a cool resort pool that’s open through October.

We signed a lease within twenty-four hours and moved in a couple of weeks later. In the year since, we’ve enjoyed watching the neighborhood grow as the last two buildings were completed and fully leased. It’s well populated, but somehow remains rather quiet. The neighbors that we’ve met are friendly and diverse– you’re bound to meet someone you can hang out with here! None of them are cannibals from a dark future, which is simultaneously relieving and disappointing. There are monthly events to meet and socialize with the community and of course, there’s no pressure to participate in anything if you’d rather stay at home and keep yourself company.

The apartments are spacious, and the walk-in closet in the main bedroom is impressively large. The granite countertops are fabulous. The high ceilings help to keep things cool in the summer, and the units are quite energy efficient. I haven’t had a power bill over $100 in the year I’ve lived in Sanctuary. The construction is all new and high quality. The on-site maintenance team is quick to respond and resolve any of the very minor issues we’ve experienced. Most important of all, our dog loves the neighborhood. She especially enjoys visits to the dog park and meeting her two legged and four legged neighbors.

We recently renewed our lease for another year. We’ll get back to building our dream house in another year or three, and until then we are happy to make our home in Sanctuary.

I have really enjoyed living at Sanctuary at Powell Place. The apartments are all brand new with nice finishings like granite countertops and stainless appliances. There are lots of great amenities as well: a beautiful pool, dog park with dog wash, and a gym! The club house has a cute lounge area with free coffee and a fun game room with pool and shuffleboard. What makes this place great though is the staff. They are all top notch and will go above and beyond to help you. Any time I’ve asked for anything the staff here has taken care of it 110% and with a friendly smile. If you are looking for an apartment in the area, you aren’t going to find anywhere better!

My wife and I moved in about a week ago. We love our new apartment. The Clubhouse and pool areas are wonderful. We have found all the staff to be very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. We look forward to making new friends as more residents move in.
