Hi-Five Doughnuts

My husband found this cute little donut shop on Yelp. He knows I L-O-V-E donuts 🍩 more than life itself if I could give more than 5 🌟
I definitely would. The plain glaze donut with icing was so freaking good that I will definitely be going back to get another one before returning home. Also, my daughter loved the cinnamon roll she said it was the best thing she's had all month.

I have tried to go to this place several times but couldn't due to their hours that I was not able to get off from work. I could do on the weekend but I always end up overslept or busy.
This place is really good vibe. There were so much to choose for the donuts. I decided to do build your own donuts because I thought it would be fun to do. IT was huge but delicious. I would love to come back to try more donuts!

An AMAZING "Egg in the Loop" customized with the egg well done and Bourbon Caremel glaze on top. The donut edges were crispy and delicious 😋

I love this place! The ambience is fun and colorful. It energizes me when I go in the mornings for coffee. And the donuts are ::chef's kiss:: The people working there are also fantastic - they make you feel so welcome. If you haven't been, go!

Please Read there is a caveat to my rating. I do not like thick, heavy cake like donuts BUT if you are a fan of that type of donut, you will love this place. The doughnuts are huge, with a ton of icing. I personally would give about a 3 star because if the heaviness of the doughnut, but I dont think that's fsir to the store. I gave a 4 star because I got the OG glazed and a bourbon themed glazed and a couple of Homer Simpsons for my grandson. I was expecting a lot more flavor variation between the Bourbon and OG but really didn't find there to be much. I was hoping for a Bourbon ball type effect where you can't so much taste the Bourbon but experience it as you breathe out, i didn't get any really at all.

My wife saw a TikTok of people trying different donuts in Louisville and wanted to try it out. We went to many different donut, shops, and The atmosphere was awesome in here. Owner was super nice donuts were great definitely recommend giving them a try. This is about 40 minutes from our house and we will definitely come back awesome place.

This donut shop is the best around. Happened to stop in on a whim and so happy we did! The donuts we got were perfectly made and tasted delicious. The woman working behind the counter was friendly and so kind to my sons. Another woman working there was funny and made us feel welcomed. We saw them make a hot chocolate for another customer and you can tell they love what they do. I’m tempted to return everyday for the rest of our trip! Can’t recommend this shop enough!

This shop is an absolute gem!! The owners are delightful, atmosphere is so fun, and donuts are delicious. So many vegan options as well, including fun flavors. Our 5 year old has food allergies and it's very, very difficult to find vegan donuts. This is his favorite place ever. Thank you so much Hi Five!

Huge , fresh, donuts. Vegan ones too for my son. If u buy a dozen u may receive 20% off. May receive. It may be a special bot all the time. They are fluffy light batter and yummy dipped icing. Thank you. Go see them.

This has quickly become our favorite donut to go spot! They have a few vegan options which we appreciate with our food allergy kiddo! They are always kind and helpful!

Have you ever had a chicken bacon donut sandwich smothered in sausage gravy with corn flakes and a splash of raspberry sauce? If the answer is no, you have NOT lived your life to the fullest. Promptly drive your car quickly to High-Five or get it delivered! Exceptional food!!!!
Edit: January 18th 2020 Today we returned and tried their chicken barbecue sandwich! This is a limited time item and just as great as the other sandwiches they offered!

OH MY GOSH! I cannot say enough about this place! You have to try if you are in town. We stopped by not knowing what we were in store for. The hot chicken donut was our favorite thing, we could’ve gone back for seconds. One special was a salted butterscotch donut and I could not have picked a better combination. The girl working (I didn’t catch her name) was so kind and really seemed to enjoy her job. She made us feel right at home and I can’t wait to go back!

I just moved here from Orlando two weeks ago. Great service, and the doughnuts are 🔥🔥🔥 ! The maple BYO with oreos is like no other. Highly recommend this place if you are in Louisville. God bless you all🙏

Beat donuts in Louisville! You can't beat their handmade, from scratch, mix. It's fun to see what they have on offer but I also like to build my own donut.

First time coming here. All I can say is, (explicit Whisky Tango Foxtrot)!! Definitely a "must come back to" spot. I am not a skinny man because of places like this!!! The GIANT cinnamon rolls took my girlfriend and I back to family (her grandfather and my cousin) making them from scratch. Holy smokes!!! And the kids...well...they wanted to go back to bed; full is good!! Needless to say, going to take a walk and wish for skinny...nevermind, more Hi-Five, please!!!

I hadn't heard or read anything about this place, I just spotted it driving down the road and I knew that I needed to try it. The problem was we were supposed to leave at 5am in the morning and they didn't open until 7am. I convinced my husband (by using the drool worthy photos) that we should leave 2.5 hrs later, after we stopped in this place for breakfast. Boy, am I glad we did. This place as a different vibe to it all together, and different is always a good thing. They have combinations that I wouldn't have thought of. The place is a small place, but inviting. They had it decorated for Halloween. We were there just a few minutes after the doors opened and the 2 employees that were working were bright eyed and friendly, which is always a good thing. I picked the KY Fried Buttermilk Chicken, which was basically fried chicken between two donuts with some sort of hot sauce mixture on it! It was amazing. It was the perfect combination of sweet and savory. They also recommended the Breakfast Donut Sandwich, but I knew by the sizes of them there was NO WAY we were going to be able to eat 3 of them. In fact I wasn't even able to completely finish mine. The hubs ended up getting the Chocolate Lovahs Donut with Oreo cookies crushed on top- hello yes! It has some kind of chocolate frosting and then the cookies. It was delicious. I felt like licking his face because he would only spare 1 bite. This place is definitely a win. It reminds me a tad of Voodoo donuts in Portland, Oregon if you have ever been there (thumbs up).

Creative and oh, so tasty! The Bourbon Caramel Bacon doughnut is unbelievable! The staff are very friendly and helpful. They offer a bevy of toppings and styles as well as an assortment of drinks. There is a limited amount of indoor seating.

I was recommended to try their Old Fashioned donut by a local. I got it, and it was a religious experience! The coffee was good as well. My favorite donut shop in the city now!

Wicked crazy donuts...in a good way. Really enjoyed my bday donut here today. We did a couple build your own donuts and one was not to our liking, a bit greasy. However the gal at the counter made it right, and gave use a double chocolate that was amazing. Nice joint!

I was passing through and stopped at this little donut shop. Fried chicken sandwich donut?! I'm in.

The donut is light, yet really holds together for the chicken. The chicken was crispy, hot, and delicious. The hot sauce wasn't really spicy at all (Mind you, I've won hot wings eating contests) but it added a wonderful tang to the sandwich. I bought the monthly selections they had as well. I ordered a coffee and it wasn't bad, yet nothing extremely special.

The staff was also wonderful. Overall I'm extremely satisfied with my visit.
