Java the Cup

I've been looking for THIS! A cute, privately owned, privately operated coffee shop. One that I could work from, come to enjoy a different scenery, eat good food. It's here and the name is so friggin cute!

Oh my gosh this place is so yum! A good coffee and breakfast is exactly what a stressed college student needs. I’m so thankful to have this place near Wingate University’s campus. Staff is so nice and the atmosphere is so relaxing :)

One of my favorite places to go for morning coffee, meeting friends and a quick cheap lunch! The people there are always nice and patient as I still have to figure out what I want every time. If you're on a special diet, aka gluten free or sugar free, it might be difficult to find something to fit but for the most part they have something for everyone. I think adding non meat protein would go a long way. The $6 lunch special is awesome and my favorite thing to do. You get sandwich chips and drink for $6. The reward program is also great for how convenient it is to campus and how often I visit.

The owner is purely amazing! He is always very pleasant and makes the best coffee drinks and food. This place is a true gem. My favorite coffee shop in Union County! I enjoy venturing out trying different ones and this one is by far the best! You will not regret it!

Stopped at this shop on our way to charlotte. I absolutely loved the set up. The coffee, smoothie and sandwiches etc were good. The lady seemed a bit reserved but maybe she doesn’t like much small talk lol. If I’m ever passing through again. I’ll be sure to stop by again.

It's a shame this is my first time coming here since moving to Wingate in 2021! The food was phenomenal! My husband had the Monte Cristo crepe and I had the tiramisu crepe. Both were delicious and so were the coffee and Italian soda! The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, perfect for a quick bite.

Wow!!! How awesome is it to be drinking coffee with great inspiring Verses from the BIBLE to ponder on, all hand written and each cup has their own unique verse!!! ....Awesome to be in a pleasing setting with Christian Music playing in the background!! Wanted to stop by this place a few times, today was my first time! Definitely a jewel here in Wingate!!! Awesome crepes and good coffee!!!! Continue with proclaiming God's Glory!!!

Incredible find! Such a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. The coffee is delicious and next time I will try the food. There are so many options to choose from breakfast to lunch items. I was really touched by the verse written on my coffee cup - such an uplifting way to brighten someone's day.

The atmosphere is just right at this place. The owners love to try new creations, which piques my interest with each visit.

Today I had a Belgian Waffle with Nutella and carmel sauce - YUM!

Comfy spot in Wingate with good coffee, good food, and good wifi. Less expensive than most Indy coffee spots.

Fantastic crepes, great espresso. A good place to get away and work for a bit or just grab a beverage and relax.

I had the best panini and smoothie ever at this place for brunch today. And, my mom had a Belgian Waffle with strawberries and whipped cream on top. Everything was fresh and homemade, and the portions were huge. Java the Cup is a hidden gem that I wouldn't normally have thought of visiting but I'm glad I did. The peaceful environment, impeccable service, and great food made for a very enjoyable experience. The owners were super nice and accommodating to me and my handicapped mother.
I will definitely be going back to this place to try their peanut butter and nutella crepes!

Excellent coffee and such a relaxing and inviting atmosphere! Every time I visit, the beautiful bible verse on my cup sleeve is exactly what I need to hear. So grateful that this local shop exists and is being run by such kind and friendly people. Thank you for fantastic service every time!

Great food and unique atmosphere for a good price. It's in a old, tiny bank. Has high ceilings and even has the old vault door. Casually modern in an old setting. Besides having various coffees, it has very tasty crepes and sandwiches. One of our favorite places!

Our group of three enjoyed our lunch at JTC a lot. The Belgian waffle with fresh blueberries was excellent, and the two savory crepes were very good, noting that good waffles and crepes are rare in this areas. Drinks were iced tea, coffee and hot tea, all good. The actual cafe space is excellent, inviting, well lit. Order at the counter, delivered to the table, with good service
