Royale With Cheese

Drove by randomly on our roadtrip and decided to try. Glad they have vegan options. Sweet potato fries were so good! All food was freshly made. Good experience:)

Best burger I've ever had. I ordered a basic b with bacon and egg. The burger is the perfect size, cooked just right, and just delicious. I'll be dreaming of it. The quesabirrria burger was amazing too. The ghetto fries were delicious and of course Jones on fountain is epic!

I finally got to try RWC and man, was it GOOD. I don't eat a ton of red meat, so when I do, I want it to be worth it and this was honestly one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. I got a plain cheeseburger (smashed) and the meat was seasoned and cooked so well. The fries were also good but the burger was really the star of the show (as it should be). The owners should be very proud of their kitchen staff!

Delicious and creative fusion food and environment. Check out their sweet corn side dish! And also make sure to check out the clay tiles in the bathrooms.

I had the Royale melt, it was absolutely perfect. I asked for a side suggestion and the gal recommended the ghetto fries (pictured.) They did NOT disappoint! As you can see, there’s plenty to share and we had to try out the fried mushrooms as well. I originally tried this place out a few years ago, and I was thrilled to see it still open. I will definitely be back!

This was an awesome find for a quick stop burger and fries. I had the royal melt sandwich for 950 and my wife had the royal with cheese for $10. We shared a plate of their ghetto fries without jalapenos. The smell was excellent. The ghetto fries came kind of as an appetizer first before the sandwiches, which was awesome. Very good Chili on some very well made fries. My royal melt sandwich was on point. The meat was delicious. Wasn't soggy and greasy. My wife seemed to enjoy her royal sandwich with cheese. Excellent place. Excellent find. I particularly like the motorcyclev parts on the wall and the picture of the world war II planes in the background.

Hidden gem! I love this place and I don’t visit enough. Burgers are amazing. The Ghetto fries are so dang good. They serve fountain Jone Soda Co., delicious! Nice location downtown!

We stopped here on a whim and it was fantastic! Food was delicious and the serving sizes were huge. They served Jones Soda from the fountain machine.
Wasn't so sure about that choice, until I tried it. Drinks were delicious. Setting is casual meets sit down...loved the concept. Woman working was very attentive and hard working. Will definitely stop again any time we are in the area.

Amazing burger hit the spot after hiking the dunes! Super fresh and just the right amount of “sloppy”. Onion rings and fries were excellent. Super cool that the soda fountain is all Jones Soda flavors. Vibe is very casual. Perfect place to go after the beach or off the trail.

Best burgers in town! We got the royale with cheese and the ghetto fries. So yummy. Really liked the smash burger style of the burger, nice and crispy. The Jones soda was amazing, try the blueberry lemonade! The decor is super cool as well, we love Bobs Burgers so we appreciated the inspiration :) Service was wonderful

We were staying in Michigan City and just checked into the Airbnb but needed to stall an hour before check-in. Royale with Cheese was around the corner. My daughter picked it and we were not disappointed. It's a counter service burger and more restaurant with great options. So glad they also had a vegan option (Impossible burger substitution). The staff was attentive and friendly, food arrived quickly. The food was really good.

I can not say enough good things about this place. It was AMAZING. The food now,let's talk lol. The ghetto fries with no jalapeños and the melt and the royal with cheese. Well I would say if I could have it shipped to me I would. The food was fresh made to order. The fries were huge. Tastes amazing. The melt was awesome. Now the royal with cheese. I fell in love lol. The bun was toasted just right. I was very e y happy with our choice. First time. And I Def will be back for another round the waitress was awesome. She was amazing.

Service was almost amazing as the food. The cashier was non stop. Taking orders, greeting customers, thanking them, cleaning up, restocking and even checking on everyone after they received their food. Chicken bites and fried green beans were so delicious, also tried a bite of the burger of the week, Irish pub. Beautifully presented and such a good mix of flavors. Food was hot and fresh, and the wait was very short. Lobby full of customers and we all had our food quicker than expected. Such an enjoyable experience every time we come here.

1st time here. Husband ordered a burger combo with green beans, I had a shrimp po boy combo with fries. His food was great well seasoned hot and fresh. My po boy wasn't great. I was about buy a burger, the manager apologized and asked which burger I wanted at no charge. He immediately made the situation right. Burger came out so fast my fries were still hot, and it was amazing. I will always stop here when coming to Michigan City by far one of the best burgers I have ever had. No mention the prices are reasonable. Great food and service.

Just looking for a fun place to eat and this place was FANTASTIC!

Daughter got the pineapple burger and street corn. I got the PB burger. Maple bacon! Peanut butter! On a burger! So, SO yummy. The sweet potato fries were perfection! Will definitely try to eat there again 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Love the use of an old building. Friendly staff and great food.

We were passing thru and used Google maps to look for something new. Reviews made us choose Royale with Cheese.

We will be coming back!!! Excellent burgers, fries, and onion rings. Jones soda instead of Coke or Pepsi choices. Very clean, unique building and the service was fast and friendly.

Don't skip this if you are looking for a great burger!

Food was really good. We just had the basic burger made the way we like and they were very tasty! They mostly have tables for six or more so it felt kind of weird for two of us to sit at a 6 top.

Love this place. We were frequents at the old location off Franklin St. The new location on 9th street is big, nicely decorated, and spacious. They also have a few booths now! They're applying for a liquor license too! Burgers are a bit pricy, as they're a la carte, but very delicious. I love the caprese burger. The caprese salad w/ chicken is also very delicious & filling. Jones Soda drink choices is a nice change from the traditional Pepsi or Coke drinks; love the blue lemonade! Fried green beans w/ Chipotle mayo are also a yummy addition to any meal. Definitely try it at least 1x!

I had a friend recommended this place. We drove from Chicago to eat here and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere is definitely different then most places! They were playing Bob's Burgers, and you could sit at a normal table or at a couch. Everything seemed very clean. The inside is abstract. The staff seemed very friendly. We got our food fast and everything tasted delicious! If you haven't been here, it is a place that you should try at least one time.
