I joined VFW post 10281 about 1 month ago. I was welcomed with open arms. Everyone has been so friendly and inviting and it has been a great experience. I encourage anyone in the Ft. Knox area to stop by and experience it for themselves, you won't be disappointed.

Just a beautiful outdoor area for a Memorial Day ceremony and grill out after. The food was great picnicing under the canopy of oaks. Everyone looked like they were enjoying the afternoon as much as we did. And Bill won the pull tab! Thanks for all that you do to recognize and respect service and country.

The staff here are awesome and efficient. Although I'm not a member of this post, the staff and the members were very friendly and made me fill welcome. Also the food is good and the kitchen staff are fast and efficient, I would highly recommend any VFW member traveling through the Ft Knox area to stop by and check this post out.

Nice post. We went there for a chapter meeting and used the conference room. It was plenty of space for us and they even have great food and drinks available!

Service, staff, food, and veteran help are all beyond my expectations. This is truly a hidden gem! If you've served in a combat zone in a foreign war, you need to get to know this place.

Great people and fun atmosphere. Have never been a part of a VFW until visiting here.

Update: Be careful with those that call you friend to your face. Don't get me wrong there are a few good people there, but they are few (very few) and far between. The rumors got so thick my wife and I felt it best to leave it all behind. Even after we left...the rumors continued.

The VFW organization itself is great and does great things for veterans, but this place imo is a stain on that fabric. Several times I was called racial slurs by supposed "comrades" with nothing but a slap on the hand to the offenders because I was the new guy and they were long time members.

Don't expect anything to change within leadership either, they have their own agenda. The folks that held "positions" in the past failed to see the generation gap when it was shown to them and now they, much like other VFWs that have or are shutting down, are struggling to make themselves relevant.

Leaving at 5 stars so this review remains at top. If you decide to go.....good luck. More so if you're a minority.

Update to response:
Thank you for taking things "seriously".

Always a great place to eat and hang out with other veterans. The VFW Appeals Team and staff are all friendly and very professional! They will help with all your VA Benefits Claims. Ask for Carlos Hernandez.
