Shadow Creek Stables

I have been at Shadow Creek for 14 years, and it is such a wonderful place! I started doing lessons at 10, eventually moved up to jumping at 15, and leased one of the owner's horses for 1.5 years. Then I started leasing this guy from the owner for 3.5 years before I eventually bought him. Now I board him here.
This barn is 10/10. All of the people are so informed, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The trainers won't push you too hard, but they will encourage you and help you grow in your skill. The lesson horses are well taken care of. The workers care about each horse personally, and I know mine is in good hands. I couldn't be happier.

I was a boarder at Shadow Creek for three years before moving out of state. I miss the positive environment, fun barn family, and quality instruction and care. I'd be back in a heartbeat if I moved back to Minnesota!

What a smart and kind group of people at this Stable. I've been around many barns and sometimes you find people who are not kind. The opposite is true here! I met the owner Susan first and she is wonderful and happy and interesting. Then Anna and Mia took my granddaughter through the steps on how to get her pony ready before her first ride and she was fascinated by it. They were patient and treated her like an equal and helped lay a good foundation for the care expected of riders. The trainer was very clever and connected well with her too. We cannot wait to go back. My granddaughter loved it! The horses were lovely and safety is clearly a priority.

Great stable, wonderful staff. I was instantly welcomed and patiently taught the basics. The owner is lovely, and really knows what she is doing. The trainers are great, and the horses are well cared for. I love that they teach the basics-not just how to ride, but how to get your horse ready to ride, too! I would highly recommend.

Proper riding instruction , including care of horse and equipment both before and after riding. Great staff , every animal I saw appeared healthy and clean. There is an indoor lounge to wait/observe the lesson.

This is a amazing place! All the people who work there just make you feel so welcomed! Everything is so organized and clean, the horses are great! This is definitely the best stable I’ve ever been to.

Fantastic care.

Fun barn. Good place to learn. School horses are well cared for. My only complaint is I felt as though my daughter was being somewhat held back by some policies. My daughter is a very experienced rider and has been jumping horses for 2 years. Her first lesson she was only allowed to walk. I talked to the trainer who told me she needed to "Prove she's mastered the walk before moving up". A few other parents I connected with were on the same page. I feel as though this hold policy of mastering things holds students back.
