Hangtown Range

This is a fantastic range and facility. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I went here with my family and enjoyed the experience so much I returned with a large group. Be sure to ask about their MILO system. I cannot more highly recommend this range. Pay them a visit, you will have a great time!

Had a great experience being a first time shooter. Took the 30 mins instruction lesson and the instructor was amazing and made sure that we were at a good starting point. The staff was so friendly, welcoming and inclusive. They answered all our questions without rushing.

I went with my friend for our first time shooting at a gun range all the staff were super friendly and very informative on showing us how to use the gun the right away and made sure we were comfortable with shooting. Thank you to everyone for the great experience and especially the female firearms instructor for helping us hooking up with an extra gun for the long wait they were pretty busy that day and they still gave us recommendations for which gun to shoot and didn’t rush us on anything!💯💯 Im Forsure coming again😁💯

This is an outstanding indoor range. Everybody that works here at this range is very knowledgeable very kind and very helpful. It’s not often you run into a range with those wonderful attributes. Everyone should go in and check them out it’s a lot of fun and very affordable and it’s safe. I do believe they have some classroom stuff and some instruction stuff and that’s amazing to hear people need to know what they’re doing with their gun before they use it, thank you !

Great range! Beyond helpful staff! Hubby had been encouraging me to learn for awhile and I kept putting it off. He finally purchased the basic safety class with one on one lessons. Needless to say I went in nervous and apprehensive with no knowledge of firearms and was instantly put at ease. The range feels welcoming and inclusive and those that work there are passionate about teaching skills and imparting wisdom. They are always available to answer questions and I never feel rushed or intimidated. I’ve learned a ton already and it’s forever changed my life. I’m all in now. Thanks guys!

What a nice hidden gem of a range. Very clean. Nice lanes. People were great and very friendly.

So I went here for the first time recently as Sierra Shield Firearms Training partners with this range for a CCW Course.

I have passed this range in the past, yet I never stopped in, and boy I have been missing out!

They have a store, locker/ lounge area, bathrooms, I believe 25 yard firearm range, oh....and did I mention they have a indoor archery range!!!

If it's indoor shooting with archery, or firearms that your seeking, this is the place to be!

When I spoke with the staff about pricing for range fees, the staff was kind, helpful and able to answer any other questions I had.

I would recommend you check them out the next time your in the area!

It's a hidden place to have fun in Placerville, California. Super friendly staff compared to no other place that I went to. Hangtown Range is so clean from the lobby and inside the range. Well lit, and they have a medical air purification system inside the range, so you don't need to wear a mask. And the best thing that me and my friends love is the staff. I don't mind driving from East Bay to Placerville to visit this hidden gem.

I took my 14 yr old son here to teach him about gun safety. Everyone we dealt with were very helpful. Answering any questions I had. One of the gentlemen even helped show my boy how to hold and load the weapon. Great experience for both of us. Plan on returning again soon.

A very warm and friendly firing range. Knowledgeable friendly staff. Not over crowded. Practical understanding of firearm safety and use.

Highly recommend this range for anyone from "just learning" to seasoned veterans.

I have done a lot of shooting at the Hangtown range and everytime has been an excellent experience. It's the best indoor range I have been to in my 30 plus years of shooting.

Outstanding service and facility at Hangtown Range! Special thank you to Olie (not sure of spelling) who made my first experience with a handgun so much fun. When he guided me through the basics, he was patient and informative, and he has a knack for confidence building. Olie you are awesome! I will definitely come back to this safe, well organized family friendly business.

New indoor gun range & its very nice.
They have a virtual room for a variety of situations and you can shoot live ammo.
Staff were helpful. Only drawback is no rapid firing. Unlike the Gun Range in Sac. Why no rapid firing?

staff is super nice and well informed, range is clean and indoors/air conditioned. we went on a groupon and got a super good deal and were able to test out a few different things to try and help decide which one i wanted to eventually buy am absolutely going again

Clean, safe, professional indoor shooting facility. The staff are all very nice. Good place to practice or tryout a short or long gun that are available for rental.

Great trainers here.
Bring your guns or rent one from them. Good selection. (Cannot bring in your own targets.)
There's also an archery and a virtual range.
