Excellent breakfast! Different, cool vibe. Lots of locals. Pretty cool bar area with TV’s. Good beer selection. The breakfast, lunch and dinner menus have something for everyone. The staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Everything is great with respect to food and service. The atmosphere is OK, but very loud and reverberant throughout, making conversation a little tough. They could use some sound dampening materials on the walls. Also, I don't believe they have AC here, just ceiling fans, so I've been uncomfortable in the past. Be aware, they surreptitiously surcharge use of a credit card by 3%, but you won't find any notice of it on the menus or signage. I use a card that gives me back 5% for dining, so NBD, but they really should inform customers!

The food is a whole palette experience. My chicken and waffles was a lovely combination of salty, sweet, a touch of spicy, and crunch. My kids burritos was equally as delicious. We where surrounded by a relaxing clean atmosphere. I loved the artist they have on the walls. My server was fantastic, knowledgeable, kind, and professional! We will be back in a hurry!

We had the steak salad and salmon salad. I’m not a blue cheese fan so they happily substituted goat cheese. The steak was perfect, tender perfectly seasoned. The salad was good, the candied walnuts were very yummy and I loved the strawberry dressing. So good. The sweet potato fries were probably the best I’ve had. Prices were quite reasonable. A bit crowded, but that’s to be expected.

Been here twice—a year ago & then now. This place is consistent. Have had different sushies, salmon, pork buns, and coconut shrimp here. ALL DELICIOUS! Some of the best sushi around, FOR SURE! The Staff is always friendly. Service can be a little slow when busy but totally understandable. Cute place, too!

The wait time was pretty fast tonight. Didn't try the specials for the night, but next time. Definitely a place to sit down and enjoy quality family time.

I have lived in North County all my life and have come to visit almost all the little dives and breakfast spots. We went here today for Mothers Day for my first time.

The atmosphere is open and nicely painted with a mix of Hawaiian and California vibes blended into an upscale cozy location and nicely painted room. The tables are roomy and chairs comfy.

The service is spot on and the food came out quickly in terms of timing...they nailed it. We had the onion rings with ranch as an appetizer...they didnt make the photo shoot for obvious reasons.
The bar is large also looks very inviting for a relaxing pass thru meal. We saw a patio as we left and are looking forward to using it on out next visit.

The beef from the beef plate was amazing! The teriyaki coating is nicely done and doesnt override the meat itself. The macaroni is very fresh and almost has a Reisers taste to it...but better. My Loco Moco was outstanding!!! The beef patty they make is full of flavor, kinda smokey and perfect moisture. They seared it beautifully for the crisp edges and char flavor that blended flawlessly with the brown gravy.

The mimosa here is the best ive ever had!!! They use Cooks Champagne apparently.

I highly recommend going here for any reason, make one up if you have too...its worth it. Prices are well within reason and you will leave feeling very happy and satisfied. I am gonna take my food nap now...enjoy! 👍

A North County staple. This place is almost always busy. Interesting menu selections with a full bar and inside or patio seating. Good food and frlendly service at reasonable prices. Their happy hour menu is fantastic, with several items priced at only $5. 👍🏻👍🏻

Best restaurant in all of North County. Z Cafe has incredible prices and specials 7 days a week. They also change their specials menu frequently. Their prices are low and locals always enjoy this incredible place, with art on all the walls and a personal sushi chef. The sushi is always incredibly fresh!!!!

This place is our family’s favorite escape. Delicious food, great atmosphere and wide variety on the menu. Order the blackened Salmon and be amazed by the tastiest dish on the menu.

For the Mexican Z Cafe in the same area. (Went last year).
I do not recommend at all. But your choice. We had the salad w/avocado. The lettuce had such a strong taste of chemicals, we couldn't eat a 2nd bite! The salad had not been washed. We were given a second salad & had the same problem. We could not eat these salads twice, totally unpalatable!
The manager was a young girl & was so rude! rolled her eyes at us when we explained the situation yet again & asked her to comp our meals. Had she been smart, she should have suggested something else on the menu other than salads. If a customer cant eat their food because of the taste of strong chemicals, have a clue, try it for herself, right? She obviously was not trained at all in customer service, and never should have had that position either.
Hopefully she is not there anymore!

My fiance and I sat at the bar for lunch. Diana was great. Very friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and delicious. Can't wait to try more dishes.

Very friendly waitresses, nice chill atmosphere, and humongous portion sizes!! Just visited California for two days and came here for a bite with a few friends. The burgers are around 10 dollars and what you get is about the size of two burgers! Sushi and sashimi are extremely fresh as I eat sushi at least once a week for a few years so I can tell between un-fresh and fresh sushi. The caterpillar roll is one of the best I've ever eaten that has eel inside.

This was the fourth time I've been to this place and the first time that I actually went in. There's always a long line outside of this place, and I didn't want to wait that long. The food is great, the decor is nice, but service was a little slow, which may have been because they were so busy. The biggest draw, though, is the very low prices. My wife and I had breakfast for just under $30. It's not a white linen restaurant, but it's a great value.

Great food and service. Had to wait about 25min for a table for two on Saturday at about 2pm. The French Dip sandwich was delicious.

We had our retired State employee luncheon here a month ago and the service was great and food was delicious. Ive been back twice after that and very satisfied. This will be my lical place to eat . The Hawaiian menu i love all.

Good food! Plenty of gluten free and vegan options.

We had the veggie taco plate with brown rice and a salad. Came with avo and had hot sauce on the side.

The sweet potato fries were also delicious!
