This is the ayer, ma end of the Nashua rail trail.
Plenty of good parking, some covered.
Not sure if there is a charge but I would guess so.

Beautiful rail trail for biking and walking that goes through Ayer, Groton, Pepperell and Nashua. Some nice off-roads that you can take near the Nashua River as well.

It's a pleasant walking/biking trail away from downtown. If I was a runner I would run. 🙂

Stopped here after riding down from Nashua (12.3 miles). Plenty of parking and local services.

You can park here for free if you are using the rail trail. There are outdoor spaces and covered spaces. The adjacent paved trail is in three sections, all connected. I park here to ride my bike to Groton by their library. I refer to this as the 'easy' ride. Stronger riders could continue all the way to Pepperell and on to Nashua.

in my expert opinion, the nicer end of the bike trail. generally less crowded, parking is plentiful, and is in a nicer looking area (downtown ayer is lovely).

My lunchtime rides on the Nashua rail trail are literally the only thing that have kept me sane since I took a job in Shirley MA five years ago

Came in from the Ayer side . Easy place to find at corner of Park and Main . Ample parking both in Garage which is hidden from street view or across street at town parking with Electric vehicle charging .

Trail is paved and harder on hands and body when Ebiking . Trail is bumpy at times but overall in good shape .

Trail is mostly straight and goes thru many quaint towns .lots of great scenery Peeperell is the nicest stop. One Porta Potty at the Nashua side and but places to eat on the trail for restroom and dining options . One Ice cream spot in Pepperell. Trail busy on Saturday but not crowded.

Nice NH state Park at beginning of NH side. Lots of singletrack trails with nicely maintained spots. Watch Poison Ivy on side and stay on trails and you will be fine.Ebikers watch trails as they are very technical .

Wife and I ate at Tony's . Terrific place to eat . Seafood is tops . Had the Lobster Roll and Fried Clams. They were top shelf and highly recommended.

Overall great time and can't wait to go back.

I was surprised to find a nice clean & shaded parking garage. Seemed like it was newly constructed. The trail was pretty good. Some bumps & cracks, but most are marked with white paint.

Lots of space for riding on paved surfaces, about 15 miles start to finish. Some off road technical trails off the main trail along the route. Lots of great views.

An excellent free, covered parking. The track is great as well. There are quite a few roots pushing up the pavement but they are marked and not too bothersome.

Well preserved trail. Looks to be serviced soon, as the growth from roots are marked on the pavement. Unlike the Bruce Freeman trail, there are far less road crossings. Excellent vistas.

Always a nice bike ride on the paved rail trail. Murals in Groton, wildlife refuge areas and beautiful ponds and river for scenery. Fall is quieter on the trail.

Great trail for a walk, bike and run. People have spotted black bears here once upon a time. The parking lot in Ayer is convenient to get here.

Is a 5 even on a very icy snowy day. The trail isn't plowed, but packed down enough for us mere humans.
The dog had fun, and that's all that matters.

A beautiful trail, perfect for skating, as it's flat, smooth, and scenic. And no darn rumble strips! Bring water and food as there's no where on the trail to buy anything.
