Dillon's KC BBQ at Wildlife World Zoo

Went today on a trip to the zoo with my girlfriend. Got seated right away next to the aquarium, this little yellow fish was keeping us company the whole time lol. The service was great, super nice and made sure we had refills. girlfriend ordered the steak melt and I had the classic burger with cheddar. We also had the fried jalapenos (not pictured). Food was pretty dang good, especially hit the spot after walking around the park for 4 hours. I've had food at other theme parks and zoos before, this would be near the top of the list.

Great food, and there is a really cool aquarium to look at while you eat! Perfect after a long day of walking at the zoo. There was 0 wait time for our party of 5. There is plenty of seating on the inside, as well as outdoor seating. All of our meals tasted great! I would definitely recommend the country fried chicken with mashed potatoes and coleslaw 🤘

A great spot for family dinner. The food was good, the service was great and the fish tank and flamingos were excellent. The restaurant has its own external entrance so admission to the zoo is not required to eat here (they also have a entrance from the zoo so if you are at the zoo you don’t have to leave to come eat here). The indoor dining room has a large aquarium with tons of fish, sharks and even a sea turtle to watch. The patio off the bar has a viewing area for the flamingos. Overall it was super kid friendly and our little one enjoyed walking around to all the different tanks to see the fish, sharks and sea turtle. The food was good, I wouldn’t put this with the giants of Kansas City BBQ but all in al it was enjoyable. I had the three meat platter with Smoked sausage, Brisket and Burnt Ends with baked beans and a baked potato. The portion size was large and enough for me to take home for lunch the following day. My wife had the Arizona Turkey sandwich, she enjoyed it but mentioned the sandwich lacked a sauce (Mayo, bbq or something). We went on a Wednesday night and the dining room wasn’t overly busy, the bar area was very busy and they had a trivia night going on.

My husband and I met some friends at Dillon's KC BBQ. Had a very nice server. I had the Burnt Brisket Inns, loaded baked potato, and southern style green beans. Everything was so good. Great portion size, too. Will definitely be going back again.

Dillon's is a fun place to bring the kids. The large aquariums are full of sharks, assorted fish, sea turtles, etc. Across the restaurant are the flamingos. It's great entertainment to watch while enjoying your meal. The food is good, the service is good.

We love coming here.

My only suggestion would be that the appearance of the physical facility is getting 'tired' and needs a refresh.

Always a great time at Dillon's! We had a 10 minute wait, but got great seats!Great sammitches, the appetizers are super tasty, the service is always friendly and personable.
A great date-night restaurant & also a great place to take the kids! Not too pricey, and an atmosphere you cannot beat anywhere else!

Such a fun restaurant. The environment is great, the service is quick, the food is delicious, and best of all you get to see zoo animals while eating dinner! The patio is right next to the flamingo pen and the inside of the restaurant is a giant aquarium. Such a fun place for anyone. Definitely a must visit for out of towners and locals!

Great staff and great food! We are here after going through out the zoo. The dining area is attached to the tank with sharks and fish which is super cool for the kids! The prices are pretty alright for the taste and quality. I had the turkey club sandwich and the turkey was very tasty and had a moist texture to it. I got Mac and cheese as the side and it was a pretty basic tasting Mac n cheese. Overall not a bad meal and I would eat here again. The staff are all super nice and attentive!

Great fun place to dine. Food selection is large. Husband loves the French dip sandwich. I had the pulled pork,(could have been a little more tender), and served with more sauce. Best handmade onion rings! Service was great. Fresh brewed ice tea. Patio dinning is nice also when weather permits.

Joined some friends for a retirement party on the patio here today.
The flamingos were beautiful. Look at this Ibis.
The food and service were excellent.

It's always excellent when I go here! I've been a couple of times recently just because it's an amazing place to take little ones!

If you're a mom or dad and you need a decent place to take your kids while out and about. This is an excellent spot. They have gigantic fish tanks spread throughout the restaurant that are guaranteed to captivate your children while you visit. This allows for basic things like taking a deep breath, actually eating the food you order, uhh.... gaining your mental sanity back for a moment, ect!

They have an awesome kids menu and an even better "adult" one.

Don't just take my word for it. GO!

This place is amazing for food fun family friends and meeting new friends! I've been here now twice, I am from Nebraska and have been able to bring my family with this trip. Definitely worth every cent! Portions of food were definitely a bang for your buck. The flamingos and iris were amazing!

The bbq dishes were very good and loved that we could see the flamingos. The staff was friendly & quick.

We went last night to celebrate my youngest son’s 32nd birthday. We had onion rings and jalapeño bottle caps for an appetizer. (Loved the onion rings)
We also ordered a pulled pork sandwich, couple orders of the baby back ribs, and the sliced brisket. My granddaughter had the hamburger and smiley face fries. I really thought for the price, that was a nice burger and fries. All of our food was very good. One thing I really liked a lot was the baked beans. I mixed in some of their Cajun BBQ sauce to my baked beans and WOW! (Give it a try!)
I also want to give our server Samantha a shoutout. She is really the reason why I’m writing this review. She was outstanding. She was really patient with us as we had 3 generations of family sitting at the table, and all having individual needs. She definitely went above and beyond.

The atmosphere was calm and the servers were hospitable. The food was overwhelmingly delicious.
If you love BBQ I highly recommend giving this place a try before visiting the zoo. You can walk off the food. Try to leave room for dessert. We didn't get to try the desserts.

Portion sizes are good for the price and food is top notch delicious!!! Excellent option for a date night or to go for friends meet-up.
You don't have to go to pay the outrageous prices to go to the zoo to enjoy. I found it to be a very pleasant surprise and will definitely be going back. Hint: the onion rings are out of this world and the ranch is home made. Totally recommend 👌

Definitely great place to visit; bring the family, hangout with good friends or even a date... plus there is an admission payed Wildlife Zoo that you can walk through after a great meal.
I've tried 3 barbecue restaurants in Arizona and to me, this is the best one. You can smell the meat being smoked and barbecued in the air. I get different selections from the menu but I always have to include the rib tips.
There is a back patio area that has a view of a large pond with live flamingos. When I first came to Arizona to visit my friends, visiting Dillons was included in one of my best memories.

If you are visiting the Wildlife World Zoo and you get hungry during your visit AND you are at the very back of the Zoo when hunger strikes you, please please do me, and you, a favor and walk all the way to the front of the Zoo to eat at Dillon's. We started to order food at the Safari Burger place at the Zoo. When I was done and about to place the order to pay, the total was $85 (3 adults and 2 kids, one kid is 2 years old) for our food, which included drinks with no refills. My wife and I cancelled the order and walked to Dillon's where we all ate for $79. Now granted it wasn't that much of a difference, but for the price we were paying, we chose quality at the same price as opposed to a thin burger patty that I could get at McDonalds. Dillon's quality of food is worth the price, Safari Burger is not. Everytime we visit the Zoo, we always eat at Dillon's and will continue to do so. The shark tank is awesome and the grandkids loved it! The food is always top notch, who doesn't love some good BBQ!

Wow! Had the best lunch ever, and with some shark friends. It's definitely a cool spot to have lunch or dinner 🍽 Maybe even a date would be good here 😊

You can't go wrong here! First, the environment is great...inside or outside. Thankful we had options outside with our large group that includes several small children.

The staff were friendly though we were Very disappointed that they'd run out of crayons for the kids. I even went to the gift shop and they didn't offer any for sale even. Coloring books but no crayons??

Anyway, the food was good and we had a great time.
