Sunfish Valley Whitetails

Had a great experience the last two years hunting with Sunfish. Accommodations, food and experience were all spectacular. Our guide Gary has been top notch and 2 hunters in our group killed great bucks this year thanks to his expertise. Will continue to visit sunfish every year!

First guided hunt and awsome hunt for sure!!! Great dinners, lodging, stand set up, and guide that helped to identify shooter in seconds to seal deal remotely. Saw couple big mature bucks up close before tagging out. Learning curve field judging for sure. Booked again for next year and can’t wait to get opportunity on another Big Ohio Buck!

First time hunt with Sunfish. Very satisfied with everything from the lodging to the quality and quantity of whitetails. Matt and Brock have a long established and excellent organization. They take pride in every aspect, most especially, the photos of your trophy.

The communication from beginning to end was phenomenal. We received a text prior to our trip saying we would be getting an email with all of our accommodations. Our trip exceeded our expectations! Our lodging was wonderful, the food was delicious and the location of our hunt was low pressure. We were treated very well. My daughter shot a buck and the owner spent over an hour taking pictures for us. I HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for an amazing experience. I can say with honesty that we will be returning in the future. So grateful for our wonderful experience.

Sunfish Valley Whitetails is top notch, our first trip to Ohio was one for the books. From the great family atmosphere to the guides and amazing food, we seen more bucks then could have dreamed of! Sunfish offers great hunting on private land with excellent cabins and amazing food. From the owners to the guides to the cooks, this is a top notch operation! Not to mention I’ve never had more encounters with giant Whitetails anywhere in the country.

I can't say enough good things about sunfish, Matt and Brock run a good outfit and the guides are great! Especially my guide Andrew, he the man. And the food is unbelievable too, Roger and crew cook it up! Lodging is also very good, I don't ever want to leave when i go there, i will keep going back every year good lord willing and go after them big bucks

For over 8 years, Sunfish Valley Whitetails has been my hunting home away from home. I have successfully killed six bucks over 130” and lucky enough to harvest the largest buck ever taken on Sunfish property, scoring 221”. The guides have become family and care about your hunting experience. The lodging accommodations and meals are second to none. When talking to anyone that is interested in booking a hunt, Sunfish is always my first recommendation. I look forward to taking my daughter in the next few years to have a memorable southern Ohio whitetail hunting experience.

This was my dad and my first outfitter trip. Didn’t know what to expect. Neither of us got one but we are planning to go back next year. Our guide was great, food was great, and the lodging was also nice. Looking forward to next year for sure.

Being in the hunting industry for several years I was thoroughly impressed with Sunfish Valley Whitetails. The lodging was outstanding, the meals exceeded my expectations, and the hunting was phenomenal. The guides were excellent and on top of their game when it came to knowing where the big bucks were and stand placement. The atmosphere was pleasant, I came as a client to hunt and left as a friend! This was my first out of state hunting trip with an outfitter and overall we had a great time. The cabins were awesome, spacious and clean. The dinners every night were delicious and you won't leave hungry! Unseasonably warm weather made the hunting hard, my guide adjusted my location based on trail cam photos and ultimately I harvested my biggest buck to date scoring in the low 140s.

Nys son and I had an absolute amazing time there. From start to finish Matt the owner was excellent. Our guide Ryan was wonderful couldn’t be happier with him. The home cooked dinner every night was to die for and also to socialize with all of the other hunters and hear everyone’s stories from the day was awesome. Will definitely be going back next year for another hunt with Ryan highly recommend Sunfish Valley White Tails. The whole overall experience was amazing would definitely recommend.

Great Outfitter. FAIR Chase!!! The guides try their hardest to get you on a good deer and the quality of deer are excellent. I was able to harvest my biggest buck to date at Sunfish this year!!!

I have hunted with Sunfish Valley Whitetails for several years now. I rate them as the premiere outfitter in the Midwest. I have taken two nice bucks there in the last two years. The guides are top notch and will put you on the deer. They work very hard to make sure your hunt is successful and enjoyable. The food and accommodations are top notch as well. Matt and Brock run an excellent outfit and I hope to continue to hunt there for years to come. Personally I won’t book anywhere else and if you are considering hunting with these guys do not hesitate! My overall experience and opinion of this outfitter is outstanding and I will continue to hunt here as long as I’m able!

I can’t say enough about Sunfish Valley Whitetails from the owners Matt and Brock, to all of the guides (especially my guide Clay) and to Roger, the cook. This has my third trip and many more until I physically can’t go. I’ve had a few good opportunities in the past, but this year I was finally able to connect with the buck of a lifetime. The entire operation is first class from top to bottom and I can’t say enough wonderful things about them. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a top notch whitetail hunt.

This place is amazing I’ve been going for two years now with my Dad and just last week I got the biggest deer of my life! I give so much credit to everyone especially the guides and most importantly Andrew, (one of the guides). They really know what they’re doing out there and they have a lot of experience on this land. Also the foods amazing the cabins are really clean and nice. And also last thing is that the feed they use is worth it all, the deer come out of there way to eat it and it’s made by Andrew too so I’d go check that out as well…trust me I don’t know how but that feed works!

Great place to go. Cabins are nice and the people are even nicer ! Highly recommend Sunfish valley Whitetails !! . They go above and beyond to put you on deer ,!! It's a fair chase hunt on open ground !! , if you want to go kill go to a high fence place. If u want to hunt like a real hunter go to sun fish valley Whitetails and have fun while doing so,!! Matt and his team are top notch people with great attitudes and great atmosphere!! The food is great 👍 only issue I had was the cell signal from Verizon , but sun fish valley hooks you up with free wifi at the oasis to get in touch with friends and family!!. I've been to 2 other outfitters and this place is awesome and trustworthy!! Not only bc I got a deer but bc the guides and the owners care about you and want u to be safe, and have fun hunting ,!! I'll be back next year for sure in 2023 !!

great place! Super Nice lodging, Absolutely Awesome food, good guides who know there land personally And they have a LOT of Nice hunting land 15k acres!! I Did a discounted late rut bow hunt in 2019 not seeing any shooter bucks that week personally one of my roommates did harvest a nice one. They offer great deals on return hunts if you do not fill your tag so me and a buddy went back for a quick 2 day late season hunt in January of 2020 I was able to harvest a huge wide10 point. I will definitely be coming back.
