The Toy Shop

First time going to The Toy Shop today. Excellent service and a detail oriented explanation of all items that were checked during my oil change.

Word-of-mouth is a powerful thing, and that is how I came across this business. Definitely will be returning!

This is a great place to get your vehicle serviced. If you have a Toyota or Honda I highly recommend them for your next service. I had some major service work done on my 2010 FJ Cruiser, and waited there several hours while it was being worked on. They have free WiFi for their customers and I was able to see how they interacted with customer and how they talked with people on phone calls. The whole time they were extremely respectful (Even to the difficult customers) they when out of their way to take care of everybody. I hope "Roxy" (Shop Dog) makes it through her surgery okay, maybe I'll get to meet her on my next visit!🤠

Great experience.
I had an unknown issue with my clutch, and was a little hesitant about any mechanics in general as i have had bad luck.
Greg at the Toy Shop made the process seemless, awesome communication, they diagnosed the rare problem quickly, and the work was finished timely.
Thank you to the mechanics as well. Highly recommend!

We were on the road and had car problems. Saw it after found original Google closed and stopped in for advice. They got us to the place that would be able to help us. Backtracked there where they got us on the road quickly

This is a great place to take your car for service. The owners are super nice, very knowledgeable, thorough, reasonably priced and timely. Your car is done when it's suppose be and taken into the shop to be worked on when your appointment time is. They always do a safety check but never push services to you. At the end of each appointment they give you a list of how belts, fluids, brakes and other components are at that time.. it's great for knowing what services will be needed in the future. They have a small waiting room with coffee available. I feel quite confident taking my car there for service.

My 2000 Toyota Tundra pulled a spark plug into the engine and shredded it up in 2017. I took it to the toy shop and they cleaned out all the metal shavings and made sure the truck was good to go. They have maintained my truck since then and it's still running like a champ. They have maintained my Honda Elements, Del Sol, CRV, and now a Sequoia. Good people and do great work.

They are always so kind. This place is a place you can trust and they give you honest feedback. Always do a great job on all 3 of our cars.

As a woman who is generally skeptical of taking my car to a shop (versus doing the repairs on my vehicle myself), I had a really positive experience with The Toy Shop. They were super flexible in scheduling and their customer service is wonderful. My Prelude was in and out of their shop in less than 2 days for a clutch job. They called me and explained possible other issues that would affect the replacement as well as the overall safety of my car, which I really appreciated. They also went out of their way as to replace my rear main seal and inform me of other potential issues that may crop up in the future. Highly recommend!

These fine people took great care of me. It turned out I didn't need what I had come in for, not only did they tell me that, they also check and added fluids as needed, checked my tires, etc. The charge was ZERO. I highly recommend this shop. The only services not provided are tires and smog. Everyone should use The Toy Shop. They are as honest as the day is long.

Great independent shop for Toyotas I’d been looking for since I moved to Sac. Good prices and they do better work than the dealer techs. Only downside is they’re pretty popular, so you definitely do need to schedule ahead for most types of work.

I've been taking my now,24 year old Toyota for service here for 14 years, minus a few yrs. when I lived out of the area, and I have always gotten fair prices for services. They never try to over sell and are always honest.

I have been meaning to write a review for so long. I just love this business! Greg and Nancy at the front desk are so kind and it seems like they're always trying to figure a way to save me money. I know you guys are crazy busy but you still are super friendly to every single call coming in! I'm going through a tough time in my life and this has been a wonderful bright spots this whole last year that I have done business with them. I have recommended you to so many people I'm sorry to make you even busier LOL. It seems like customer service is a thing of the past lately in most places, but not here at The Toy Shop!!
If there was a People's Choice Award every month you would be sure to win it every single month! If you are looking for a shop that is honest and inexpensive and works with you, this is the place for you.
I was even in line to pay one day when an elderly man who had his oil changed and had some squeaky belt checked out, was paying in front of me. Nancy told him the soon up-and-coming work that needed to be done on his car but with 300,000 miles she recommended that instead of having that work done he might consider selling it. They would be happy to do the work, but instead of just charging him, she even said he could put an ad right there in their waiting room. This is very unusual advice for a shop!
It seems like they work on their customers cars like they would work on their beloved mom's car. You guys are very unusual and I really appreciate you so much. What peace of mind I have to know that if you tell me I need some work, I really need to have it done and if there's something that can wait you let me know that too. You shop for the best value on parts for me instead of trying to make the most off of me.
I know you guys are probably exhausted at the end of every work day but you sure are an out-of-the-ordinary and all-around super terrific business.

I've been taking my vehicles to the Toy Shop for years. When they sold it and another family took over, I worried about the change. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt and I've been very happy with the new owners, (not so new now) as they have been everything that the former owners were, taking pride in doing a good job, fair prices, and being efficient in the work they do. I will continue to bring my car in for servicing and repairs. I have no problem recommending them as a business you can trust and rely on.

Great service. Took the time to diagnose and fix a problem I was having with my 2004 4runner, and didn't charge due to the fact it was a small issue. They easily could have charged a diagnostic fee.

Also, when I said my vehicle was high mileage and I wanted to have everything looked at, they were very honest in stating what I did or did not need, and when I would need it. They could have taken advantage of the situation and done unnecessary work, like a lot of dishonest mechanics do.

I appreciate their honesty and will definitely trust them when it comes to working on my car.

Be sure to make an appointment for small things such as oil changes. Their racks fill up quick and they might not be able to accommodate you without an appointment.

This is the best shop hands down! They are incredibly friendly, efficient, and affordable. You will not be jerked around with and told exactly what needs to happen to get you up and running again. This is the only shop I will ever use and is worth the 45 minute drive from my house. Nancy is very very cool and helpful! 5 stars in not enough for the place. Thank you for the awesome service!

They do a great job. I am so impressed with this old school attitude of taking very good care of the customer. My Toyota was fixed right & it cost me way less than I thought it might be. I trust Bill & Jenna completely. You'll not be disappointed.
