Best Bass Gear

I was looking for a bass pickup and emailed the technician back and forth. I was recommended a set despite mentioning I only needed one. Not really knowing how pickups worked or what I was getting into (the technician didn't answer the phone, shopping for someone else, etc) I bought the set.
When it came time to return it, I could not get an answer on whether I could return just one of the two or if the set was inseparable. It looks like on the website the components of the set are sold separately so I don't understand why I couldn't just return one and get partial credit back. Maybe there is a good reason. Anyway I got charged $60 in restocking and shipping on return.
I told my wife about the problem and was recommended Sweetwater. In contrast the technician with Sweetwater had stellar communication with me, ensured I got the right product and was kind. Therefore, even though some of the mistakes were my own, it ended up really costing me. However, if you're interested in bass parts I would recommend Sweetwater over bestbassgear any day.
