There's nothing better than supporting local merchants, but to get a great deal too?! Exceptional! Great tires at a fair price, and great folks!

We ran off the side of the road about a mile from his shop. He was so very nice he took time out of his day to come to the side of the road and brought his jack and took our tire off, cause we don't have a spare(thanks alot kia) and drove back to his shop and put our new tire on, and Ran it all the way back out there and reinstalled the wheel. Such a very nice gentleman. He was a God send today. I 100 percent recommend Johnson tire to any one that is in need of tires. We need to keep bussinesses and people like this in bussiness! Thank you so much Mr. Johnson !

Arrived at 5pm on a Friday- with an almost flat tire. He made sure he took care of my tire that night- stayed past closing and had me safely in the road again- luckily for me it was just a screw. Fixed the tire in no time. Very affordable pricing. Customer service outstanding. Will recommend and go there anytime I need tire service.

Stopped by to have a new TPMS sensor installed since one of mine was dead. Every other place wanted to do full diagnostics, full replacement, programming, and balancing. Had I gone that route, I would have spent hundreds on a $40 problem. Instead, I found this wonderful establishment. The owner is extremely transparent, happy to help, and replaced my TPMS sensor in record time. All the while, his attention to detail was spot on. Had a great conversation with the owner after the work was done, and I can assure you his integrity extends beyond his work. Rare find. Highly recommended!

Way beyond my expectations! Highly recommend. If you are looking for a honest and affordable tire shop, contact this business. Tom is extremely helpful and with his expertise in his knowledge, was able to help me efficiently select what my vehicle needed. He even helped me off office hours, and even though I wrote the check for payment wrong he gave me the benefit of the doubt and allowed me to come back later to cover my bill. You are not going to find that type of integrity everywhere. Thank you.

I cannot recommend a more quality shop than Johnson Tire. Tom advised me on the benefits and warranties on certain brand tires. I went with his suggestion, the falkens and cannot be more pleased with them. He worked around my schedule to drop off and pick up off of work hours. I really appreciate his kindness and service ❤ thank you!

From Florida, gotta head home tomorrow. This guy took me in and fixed my tire in less than 20 minutes. Heart of gold. If you’re in Barboursville, don’t waste your time going to a different tire shop, just come here.

I won't take my vehicles anywhere else from now on. Mr Johnson is decent with his sales of tires and business. Not to mention, the service is usually quick and you can watch while he does all the work. I highly recommend Johnson tire!

Johnson Tire is great-- and I'm very pleased with my tire installation by Johnson Tire, a small business between Barboursville and Ruckersville, on Hwy 33. After I had related my tale of woe involving a national store chain (i.e., SEARS, in Fashion Square Mall, C'ville, VA !!) from which I'd bought the tires, the guy (the owner, Mr. Johnson?) I talked to on the phone yesterday told me installation of new tires on my daughter's car would be "about $90, with "no other gimmicks, hidden prices, add-on fees, etc.", even though I hadn't bought them at his store. This is in stark contrast to the local store of a (dying) national chain from which I had bought the tires on-line, only to experience what amounts to "Bait & Switch"-- with the Automotive Section reps trying to jack-up the price by insisting I also pay for "LIfetime Wheel Balancing", and other costs which I had refused when I bought the tires on the Sears website. [Yeah, right-- "Lifetime"-- and this by a dying national store chain...] So , I refused to let that store install them, and thus my call to Johnson Tire. I dropped the car by this morning, and it was ready, all 4 new tires installed, less than an hour later, and for exactly the verbally promised price ($90). On the way home, they have proved to be quiet, don't pull left or right, and appear to be just fine-- no problems. The local Sears rep had told me that I had to have a "new TPMS Kit" (tire pressure monitoring system) installed, as well, and when I questioned them skeptically-- they assured me "Oh, no-- we have to tear it out every time we install new tires"-- which turns out to be garbage, and they also demanded that I pay another $121 for "lifetime wheel balancing" -- which I had not only refused to buy (at their on-line site), but had even questioned their on-line site's Chat Line reps to see if the tires would be installed without an additional "lifetime wheel balancing" -- and was assured that was the case, but then when I showed up at the local Sears store, I was told that was NOT the case, and that I would have to pay an additional $121 for "lifetime wheel balancing" (B.S.!), $43 for a "new TPMS Kit" (B.S.!) and another $18 for "rubber valve stems" (though I also asked them why they couldn't use the old ones, which are obviously fully functional). They asserted that Sears' OWN on-line website "doesn't know anything" and that to have new tires installed, I would have to pay all that, as well as an "environmental fee" to dispose of the old tires. However, there's no reason to do that, as it turns out. So, I took my tires and left, and went instead to Johnson Tire-- a good choice, as it turns out. BOTTOM LINE: My experience with Johnson Tire, LLC has been superb, and it looks like we'll be going to Johnson Tire for all our "tire needs" from now on. I heartily recommend Johnson Tire. Johnson Tire sticks to their word, and doesn't try to sneak-in a bunch of "hidden" fees and services-- they're wonderful! --PS: I just tried to leave a review of the local SEARS Automotive store chain on the Sears Website, but have so far been unable to make it "take"-- so I have now edited this review to call Sears out by name. Above, I failed to mention that I was happy the local (Charlottesville) Sears Automotive store called me within 4 hours of my on-line tire purchase to schedule installation-- but that's as far as my "happiness" went. On arrival for the scheduled appointment, I had to wait around 15 min for someone to get to me, even though there was only one minivan being worked on in the shop, and then 25 min to sort out my on-line purchase, and whether the tires were indeed "in stock" at the store- -this went back & forth for awhile, but they had 'em on-hand, and THEN one by one, came all the "hidden & extra costs"- after an hour, (with my car STILL not in the shop yet) came the "mandatory Lifetime Balancing" for $121-- which for me, was the Last Straw. Needless to say, I WON'T be going back to Sears, Inc. for any automotive needs, and will certainly be going to Johnson Tire for tire stuff, from now on.

This place is the BEST! I don't even shop elsewhere for tires anymore. For the last 15 years, I just call Johnson Tire & make an appointment for a set, or just drop in to get a flat fixed.

We have been using Johnson Tire for many years. You will not find better service. Mark Johnson's prices beat most any price that you can find too!

Unfortunately has officially closed down the business but Mark was a great guy to deal with and honestly almost willing to bet you wouldn't find a cheaper place or a better guy to buy from tham him anywhere in this area.
