Where the locals go!!! We had a great time here! Cold drinks, great prices and friendly faces! If you are lucky Buddy the resident pupper will be here! Had an amazing shot called Starburst! Husband drank ice cold beer!

Great drink! Very clean, nice atmosphere. We were here during the day so not sure about night life. We would love to go fishing with the owner. This is where he stores his fishing poles! Coolest thing ever!

This looks like a local watering hole. Good vibe. Lots of cool things inside and the bar servers are great. I enjoyed watching the games on the big screens. The patrons were nice folks. They have a good menu but we’re only there for the game. I’d give them a try for sure. Let me know.

My wife and I stumbled across this pub so we had lunch. Ordered the pizza needless to say it was amazing, the Beer was cold and the wine was great. We will make this a stop every year we go there (ordered the meat Lovers pie)

Great atmosphere with very reasonable prices!! Service was spectacular!!! Very friendly staff that went out of the way to make sure we were comfortable.

Get the pulled pork sandwich to go. DELICIOUSNESS. 10. bucks. Service awesome, friendly. Checking out all places in Anna Maria this by far the best. Slims nope, rod and reel nope. Poppos so so. Pizza Social AAA. Best pizza

Goodness Gracious this place is the best choice for a beach break. Awesome owner, bartender, and cooks! We got the BBQ pizza and almost finished it! It’s very filling! I recommend this place so much! Especially if you need a break from the sun and beach. We will be eating here again! Forget Sandbar! Thanks Bortell’s!

Finally got a chance to pop in! Grabbed a mixed mushroom and sausage pie with the pineapple cake to-go for dessert. We will most definitely be doing that again.

When vacationing on the island, we come to Bortell's once a day. The bartenders are awesome. A lot of times you see the owner mingling with his customers. Their menu is limited but the food is delicious. Wings are very juicy. Pizza is super good too!

No food served. We heard the pizza and burgers were great. A pool table would be nice.

Absolutely gem of the island! I will say this, we ordered pizza then brought it to the beach. It was THE BEST pizza I've had on the island and top 5 favorite pizza I've ever had! The honey BBQ wings were fantastic as well. Seriously, make a point to hit this place up for lunch and a cold beer, you won't regret it.

Called when they were closed on a Monday and spoke to the owner Steve to ask some questions about their place for a place to go after our wedding at the Sand Bar. Steve answered all my questions thoroughly and gave recommendations for other places on the island even. Look forward to bringing all our guest there this April!

‘Member when it was a breeze-block dive with vinyl stools and pool tables. Went vacant for a few. Was afraid it would be turned into a motel or ostentatious home. Nope. I miss the dive, but it makes sense to have a nicer bar on the northside. With all the nouveu riche and outside $ buying up everything I suppose you need nicer places. Well executed. Great staff and friendly locals. Happy it didn’t disappear

I work for local government and Anna Maria Island is part of my territory. It was a long wait, while the pub was being remodeled and resurrected. But Wow! It was worth the wait. Friends and I frequent the island beaches weekly and Bortell's is by FAR our favorite watering hole. Great food, excellent drinks and what a great staff! Best pub on the island, hands down!!

Great bar and amazing staff. Had some delicious late night pizza on a Sunday night and thanks for being open late.

Went in the early afternoon of a scorching hot day on AMI…cleanest bar I have ever seen. Great service, cold and good drinks. Friendly atmosphere even with my 7,4,2 year olds. Pizza was good and Greek salad was great!

Great bar for a child beer or whatever tipple you enjoy. Staff is great as well. All I had was a couple beers, but enjoyed myself and a good crowd was there. Mostly Midwestern tourists, but that's what you get this time of year, and let's face it, they pay the bills and are good people to have in your area. We'll be back!

Tiffany and Patty took care of us as first timers and we couldn’t be more pleased with the service. Tiffany was hustling nonstop and managed to fulfill our every need with no waiting. Absolute pleasure to deal with. Can’t wait to return.

I apologize for earlier post due to spell check, late flight and focus on starting my vacation. Great neighborhood bar with a great mix of locals with a story of the island and tourist like me and great part is after 10 minutes can't tell the difference. Got in late so kitchen closed but jack n cokes delicious.
