Massari-Wood Dance Center

I took my daughter to see Massari-Wood's Nutcracker last December, and we were both blown away by the talent of the dancers of all ages. The show was so inspiring that I decided to start taking ballet classes myself in January. I was nervous about starting at my age, but Lisa, my teacher, was so warm and welcoming. She has helped me to gain strength and confidence, all while teaching me more about this beautiful art form. I'm so glad I took the plunge, and I can't wait to start classes again in the fall. If you're thinking about taking ballet classes as an adult, I highly recommend Massari-Wood!

We love Massari Wood Dance Studio!!! My daughter has been with this studio for over 10 years and it has always impressed me with the way they instill a love for the art of dance when they are young and then emphasize technique as they get older. As a result of the training she has received, my daughter was accepted into the Governor’s School this past summer.

I love Massari-Wood! As an adult, it can be intimidating to try and find a studio that welcomes adult dancers. I have been taking ballet classes here for almost a year and they have just been the best! They have been nothing but welcoming and encouraging. Also, they have added a couple more classes for adults since there has been more interest! Massari-Wood has the best mix of offering top-notch classes with great instructors, while also nurturing a welcome and inclusive vibe for all dancers.

Massari- Wood is a wonderful dance studio that focuses on creating positive culture and environment for its dancers. This studio serves a variety of ages, ranging from children to adults. It is one of the few places in the Chattanooga area that offers adult classes after 5PM. This allows working adults to unwind from a long work day by expressing themselves through a variety of dance classes. The studio is very accepting of beginner dancers while also catering to adults who have previous dance experience. I can't say enough about this awesome faculty! They work incredibly hard to make sure that classes focus on strength and artistry. If you are on the fence, I would really recommend that you take a class to find out for yourself!

Massari-Wood has truly become our family! We have been taking ballet there since 2014 and have had a truly wonderful experience. The emphasis there is LOVE of dance! It's not about body type or discipline (in the negative sense). It's about fun, friendship, and coming together to do something you are proud of! We are incredibly thankful for everything that Mrs. Donna and Mrs. Katie do there!

I am such a huge fan of this studio. I rejoined the ballet world at age 29 after a 12 year break from dance, and Massari-Wood welcomed me with open arms. This is a truly inclusive studio where no one will be told they aren't young enough or flexible enough or thin enough or _____ (you fill in the blank) enough to be a dancer. Everyone is respected as an individual and challenged to reach their personal best. That's rare in the ballet world!!!!

My daughters have also grown up at this studio, and I couldn't imagine a better dance home for them. Classes are fun but challenge young dancers to actually learn classical ballet. We truly love our ballet home.

although i dont attend anymore, my time at this studio was very memorable and pleasant. i was granted the opportunity to learn and dance with many other talented dancers and, of course, Ms.Donna. the dancers and instructors here are filled with nothing but happiness, laughter, comfort and pure love. it was like a family. Ms.Donna always made my sad days brighter and i always had a blast during lessons with her. studio is beautifully decorated, classes are always fun and organized, and preformances are always a blast and professional. i highly recommend taking classes at Massari Wood Dance Center !!

My daughter has been going to Massari-Wood for 7 years and I'm still so grateful we found them. She really enjoys dancing, and I'm really happy with the positive environment they create. All the teachers she's had have been wonderful.

I love Massari-Wood. I believe my daughter has danced there since she was in the 2nd grade and she is now going into 11th grade. I was worried when she first started because she's very shy and doesn't like attention. She still doesn't like attention, and I don't know what they are saying in class, but being in this environment at Massari-Wood has been the best thing for her. She loves it. The teachers are great and they communicate well with the families. Mr. David Wood passed away a couple of years ago. We miss him his presence, but Ms. Donna has done a FANTASTIC job at keeping the dream alive. Ms. Donna Massari and all of the teachers and assistants are great. I appreciate and Love Them!

The dance instruction at Massari-Wood gives dancers a solid foundation in technique and body awareness which produces some beautiful dancers. The performances are magical for everyone, from the littles to the company, to the returning adults like me.

My child has been taking ballet here for years! Ms Donna and Katie are the most welcoming people around! All the staff are so good!

All four of my girls have learned to dance here. The atmosphere is very relaxed and accepting and I am always impressed by the skill and beauty of the more advanced dancers. For the past three years, I've watched as the younger groups have gained in skill and maturity. What a privilege to be a part of this dance studio!
