Harrisonburg Family Practice

I really like this practice! I've been coming here for 11 years. I started out with dr.weidig, then his availability became limited so I started going to dr.ashby! He's been absolutely wonderful and knowledgeable. He LISTENS! I love this practice!

Dr. Ashby is quite possibly the most knowledgable, experienced, professional, down to earth doctor in the state of Virginia , and across the country probablly. Very caring to each individuals patients personal feelings and concerns , and doesnt just approach with a standoff , it is what it is attitude like most Drs. I have dealt with in the State.

My quality of life would be nowhere near as well as it is right now , if i had kept stepping backwards on my illness , with the many other unexperienced, careless , PCPs and Specialists around the state of VA. Hands down the example of what EVERY health professional should model themselves after.

Staff is also very attentitive for the most part as well. Best place for your health if your in the area.

My first experience was not really a good one, because I waited in the waiting room about 20 minutes, then 45 minutes in the actual patient room. After that I got up and left since I had to go to work and wasn't about to wait any longer.

I am not sure but there must have been some sort of communication problem that happened on that day. Anyway a year later, I gave them another chance and made another visit.

I had a great experience!

Dr. Syptak is very cool and down to earth. He took the time to understand my concerns and even had some small talk to learn about me being a new patient. When I told him I had Vasovagal Syncope and pass out with blood work well, he didn't joke about it like many in the past have done when they see a tattooed man say they are afraid of needles. (It's not the same as getting tattooed FYI.)

Instead he brought in some very nice nurses who made sure I was comfortable and kept my focus off the task at hand.

Great overall experience!

I LOVE this practice!! My whole family goes here and we've never had any issues being seen or getting the nurses to return our calls. The front office associates are calm and pleasant. The doctors and nurses are caring and helpful! We'll stay at the practice as long as possible!!

I have had wonderful experiences at this office. First, having worked at a front office in a medical setting, it can be very challenging to say the least. I have always experienced pleasant people at HFP. Dr. Loucks is my physician and I cant begin to tell you how caring, thorough and knowledgable she is. The best doctor I have ever had, period. My husband and son have Dr. Jesteadt and they absolutely love him too! Using the portal is a blessing. Thank you to Dr. Louck, her staff!

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Dr. Jesteadt shows a clear concern for his patients. He not only took the time to answer all of my questions, but also listened attentively and helped me feel comfortable discussing my medical history. Additionally, he was great to get along with. If you are in need of a trustworthy physician, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

After checking in and before sitting down, the nurse called for me. I was there for my yearly blood work etc with Dr. Weidig. He was very thorough making me feel he was interested in my well being. He answered my questions and reviewed the results of my EKG and blood pressure . He is a wonderful doctor and I will be scheduling future appointments with him.

Dr. Loucks is a very sweet person and a very good doctor. She answers all questions and if you need referred to a specialist it is done immediately. She takes her time with you and never makes you feel rushed. Staff at front desk is friendly, polite and very professional. People in the lab are very nice as well.

The providers are great! They take time to listen to you and have always treated me with respect. They also are very good at time management. You don't have to spend a great amount of time in the office waiting to be seen. The office staff is always kind and professional. I strongly recommend this practice.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ashby's for 20 years. I have also been treated by every physician in the practice. High praises for the doctors and convenient hours. Yes , I too have had issues with the staff...but nothing worth complaining over. I recommend this practice if you have children.

I love Dr. Jesteadt and his nurse is awesome. They always fit me in for appts and are extremely thorough and kind. I never have a wait time or have issues with them returning phone calls or filling prescriptions. I highly recommend them.

I was having problems with knee pain and needed to get it checked out before going to the ER - Dr. Iudica fit my appointment in that same day, and stayed late to make sure I was able to be seen and given a referral for an x-ray (which saved me a LOT of money). Everyone here has been nothing but friendly and helpful - and I'm so grateful to find a practice like this in Harrisonburg.

I had been going to Dr. Deborah Nio, at Harrisonburg Family Practice for about 10 years until I moved to New Mexico. Even after moving, I would return to Virginia and see all my doctors and dentist.

I have seen some of the reviews here the Google site and in the Yahoo site, and I am flabbergasted to say the very least. I have gotten excellent care from Dr. Nio, who always had time to sit and answer my questions and who always checked back in my records, while I was with her, to make sure I was up-to-date on any shots, etc. that I needed.

As for the comments about the staff, I never had any problems with any of them, whether they were at the desk, nurses, or drawing my blood.

I found Harrisonburg Family Practice top notch!

Dr. Jesteadt is the best doctor I’ve ever had - literally. He listens, he goes over options, and he knows how crazy my travel schedule is, and is always so accommodating. I would never consider another GP!

Dr Amanda Louks Is an angel from heaven, She takes the time to go over all my medical problems, & I've got a list of things wrong with me that would make you cry just knowing my pain.I left Corrialian Ft Defiance because my Dr. there was useless ! I highly recommend Dr. louks.Shes young and hasn't been bought out by big pharm .She honestly cares about me as a patient, The staff has been great to me also, Ive been going to Dr's for 30 years since I fell off a 40 foot ladder, She's the best out of them all !

I have been going to Dr. Greg Jestead for about 5 years now. In the past when i got sick I would just go to whatever walk in doctors office. Dr. Jestead takes an actual interest in his patients. While he doesn't sugar coat things he speaks with you with respect and genuine care.

I needed to get an appointment the same day, they did one better! I called at 8:25am, got an appointment for 9:00am and was on my way before 9:30am. They are very efficient, the staff is very friendly! I can't say enough nice things about this practice.

The Drs here are fantastic! The staff is friendly and they do their best to get you in, even if your regular doctor isn’t available! All the Drs are knowledgeable and friendly and definitely make you feel like you’re family there!

Wonderful Professional Staff, Doctor listened to patients needs no rush also Lab on site.

My daughter saw Dr. Lúdica a few days ago. She said he was extremely friendly and understanding of her medical situation! She was happy with his medical expertise and service!
