I have never personally used UREC, but my daughter goes there 3-4 times a year for KIDS NIGHT OUT. Its an amazing program where kids go swim, play basketball, rock climb, do crafts and eat pizza while the parents get a night on the town.

Very well staffed and organized. My daughter loves the program and we have never had any issues. This program is a true drop off and pick up program. You don't even have to get out of the car, just pull up and they handle the rest.

Highly recommended!!!

My favorite place at JMU! Fantastic spaces and equipment, super well-maintained. Staff and student staff are all friendly and helpful whenever I need them. I personally use the hardwood basketball courts multiple times a week, occasionally use the swimming pool, and attended a few yoga classes as well. Other resources that I have not gotten to use but heard great things about are cooking classes, massage chairs, great weight-lifting space/rooms, good running tracks, and of course the infamous rock-climbing wall. Huge shoutout to JMU UREC! Much love and appreciation! :)

Immaculate facility with a wide variety of programs designed for any level of abilities. Very welcoming and inclusive environment. I just love spending my days at UREC!!
