Lledge Rock Park

Love this little park in Galway. Nice slope. Lower trail is muddy, but the rest is fine. Only two things that are bad. First is no parking. Only on the side of the road. The second, the mosquitoes, horseflies, deer flies, every biting insect. On cool, windy days they are good, or early spring and Autumn.

I live across from this park. I rarely go and hike it. I do enjoy the private Shirley Lake which is across the street and my backyard. That is excellent to come and visit and ask me to go kayaking.

Nice private trail. If you are a geocacher there are some goodies in store on the trail.

My family and I have been going to many different preserves and nature trails. This one I was very excited to try out since it's down the street, and assumed it was a hidden gem considering the entrance is literally hidden. However we all were very wrong! I hate to say two stars but my experience was very bad to say the least. first no parking, has to park on side of road, then realized the trails are not marked properly. Some are marked but they go into other trails that turn into DO NOT ENTER singns. The worst part was how bad the masqitoes were, they attacked us so much that we had to leave. Trail lead us out to the rd but was very far away from our car! Word of advice to someone who wants to bring their dog here, DONT! Our dogs face blew up to the point we thought he wouldn't be able to breath and his head and under body had so many bumps from the masqitoe bites.
