A Little R&R Animal Sanctuary

We had a perfect experience with A Little R&R Animal Sanctuary. Every contact was highly professional and it is clear this group cares so deeply to do the right thing. And the foster care for our kitten was superb. He was professionally cared for and I have an open line to discuss the best practices for our kitten. Go with the place that truly cares. I am so impressed.

They are outstanding! You can tell that they always have the animals best interests at heart... They have a rigorous application process, which shows that they truly do care.

They’re very nice and they deeply care for their animals. Our experience was not great. I emailed about a cat and got no response. Completed the application and was told no information would be given out about the cat until we pay $100 deposit to get our application processed. Made the deposit and was told the cat we were looking at had been returned twice due to litter box issues and is currently in a perfect foster home. We didn’t want to remove him from a home that he fits so perfectly in because he’s already been moved around so much so we decided to pass. Shelter thanked us for our honesty and we thanked them for theirs. They asked us to pick out a different cat or kitten. We picked out a kitten and were then told they only adopt out kittens. We have no interest in multiple cats. Their logic is studies show that cats without stimulation in the form of another cat is more likely to have behavior issues. We have a dog, 3 children, and a work schedule that allows us to be home perpetually. We then decided to move on to our local humane society. We understand how important it is to ensure these animals are not returned to the shelter, or worse. Personally, we found their adoption process as laborious and filled with barriers. As lifelong caring and loving pet owners, we found that frustrating. But they were all very nice and they do really care about their animals.

Called for help with a stray kitten. They were of little help and no advice. Not even a recommendation. I can't keep the kitten because I already have 3 cats and 3 dogs. So I was hoping for some type of help but no luck. I take it that they really don't care about animals

Heard the most AWFUL things about the owner/president of this rescue. She is so rude and snotty. Don’t go to this rescue.
