I cannot say enough good things about Milissa Davis and the crew at Home Instead Volusia County! My elderly mother's condition deteriorated rapidly after being discharged from the hospital and my family needed to get her home care immediately. Milissa was quick to come out to visit my mother and had an thorough way of evaluating her needs. We had a wonderful care giver within days and the HI team has been very responsive to my mother's increasing needs over the first few weeks. They also have on an on call manager over the weekends to assist in potential unscheduled needs - and they are always pleasant. Amazing!

Home Instead is filled with truly, caring staff and Care Professionals; people with a real heart for our vulnerable senior population. Communication is outstanding and Care Professionals have full support of the office and ongoing training. Regular Quality Assurance visits are made by our Client Care Coordinators as they oversee and manage client care. Home Instead does genuinely feel like home!

I have 2 of the best most caring loving ladies caring for my mother Darlene comes all week and Maria does weekend. My family loves these 2 ladies and the outstanding care my mom receives. Home Instead has made life less stressful for us.

My parents lived in Ormond Beach Florida for 28 years before 'suddenly' needing more help than my brother and I could provide from Massachusetts. The staff at Home Instead is excellent, from Kim right through every caregiver we met. They select caring, compassionate, intelligent people to care for elders and then provide additional training. Within a week of our first call we had caring people in place. Their 'in-home' support gave our family the time to develop and implement a longer-term plan. Compassion and caring is evident in every interaction we've had with this team.

I cannot describe how happy it makes me to partner with Home Instead. I am a Private Duty Care Coordinator charged with the care of one person who's health unfortunately continues to decline rapidly. Home Instead provides me with well trained Caregivers for the hours I am not able to be with my client. Mrs. Diemel is extremely dedicated to her clients, very intelligent, accommodating, and takes a compassionate interest in her elderly clients. My name is Stephanie and I’ve been a Home Instead caregiver for 6 years. I have had a variety of level of care clients over my 6 years. I had a few clients that were short term and I had 1 client I had for 3 years. I enjoy being able to spend the day with my client and assist her with daily chores, errands and doctors appointments. My client and I are so great together and I treat her as if she is part of my family. The staff in the office is great. We all work together as a team. That’s what I love about Home Instead they treat you like family and it’s team oriented.

I retired from my job about 7 months ago and decided that I would like to return to the workforce to help others. I have never worked as a Home Health Aide but felt the need to learn more so that I could provide companion and comfort to the elderly. I enjoyed my face to face trainings as well as the online training courses. The entire family at Home Instead has welcomed me with open arms and did not hesitate to immediately put me to work. After surgery complications I was told on Sunday afternoon that my father would be discharged the next day and that home care was being recommended as opposed to rehab facility. Finding private home care is difficult in any situation but impossible during the weekend. My phone message to Home Instead was returned first thing Monday morning. After a visit to their offices (they would have come to the hospital) we had care arranged for the same day. Each of the providers that assisted my Dad were courteous and caring people. In addition they were happy to pitch in and help my Mom with tasks around their home. A quality assurance visit was made as promised by a supervisory person. Following a week of recuperation, my Dad was ready to be on his own again. This was a shorter time period than we had originally contracted for. Upon notification that services were no longer needed, Home Instead agreed to end care just as they said they would including a refund of my remaining deposit. While all these things seem simple and to be expected, it has unfortunately become surprising when someone actually does what they say they will do. Thanks to all the folks at Home Instead and we would not hesitate to use their services again !

After 91 years of being independent and able to do for myself I fell, hurt my shoulder and suddenly needed help. Home Instead came to my rescue with the most efficient and understanding personal. From my first encounter.with Brooke, to all the interaction with the office staff, to the ladies that came into my home, I could not be more pleased. Needless to say I was very apprehensive but from the first encounter they let me know they were here to help me the way I wanted and needed help.
