Loved the entire museum, especially the current exhibit on influential women of Sag Harbor. The museum is small but packed with interesting information, so allow time to read and consider.

Went to the museum on the first day it opened. It was awesome and the staff was outstanding. Just wanted us to know everything which made it great. Loved the stories about the graffiti on the whale bones. Really a gem.

I really enjoyed visiting this museum and learning about the history of whaling in this area.
They have a whaling boat on display outside.
Nice small gift shop with very reasonable prices.
The museum has alot of displays and pictures.
Plus they offer nice clean restrooms inside the museum.

I really love everything about this museum especially their current show where they showcased student artwork from South Africa! Additionally I really enjoyed exploring all of the amazingly preserved relics that speak volumes of the history of Sag Harbor.
The staff were also extremely welcoming, especially Jen’s knowledge of the different relics and town’s diverse history!
I will definitely venture here again when I visit Long Island and highly recommend you explore everything this museum has to offer!

A must see in Sag Harbor! Such a nice, quaint museum with wonderful artifacts and facts about whaling. I am Montaukett and Shinnecock Indian so it was nice to see my heritage represented in the museum.

Terrific museum quality exhibits, scrimshaw on whales bones, see what it took to be a whaler in the 18th and 19th Centuries!!! (There are still houses in Sag Harbor that still have covered lookout areas on the roofs of houses where wives could look to see if thier husbands ship was entering the harbor!!!).
