I came to the Ochsner ER after 12+ hours of vomiting. I was 20 weeks pregnant at the time and knew I was likely very dehydrated. My husband and I were also stranded because of my medical event so you can imagine how tired and strained we both were. The care I received was competent and kind. First, the woman at the front desk kindly walked my husband and I up to the OB emergency department. I was treated by Dr. Acosta and nurse Haley, and a couple of other nurses whose names I didn’t catch due to my exhaustion. They were all incredibly gentle and kind, and I cannot say enough praise for their knowledge and professionalism. I was able to rest and recoup for a few hours while receiving fluids and was able to return to traveling home the next day. Thank you to all those in OB ED who took care of me and my family that day.

This is my hospital and medical clinic. Today I had my annual mammogram and everyone was very helpful and caring. It didn't take very long and my mammogram for 2025 was scheduled. I recommend them for your Healthcare needs.

This hospital has always treated my parents very well over the years. They’ve treated Dad after some heart attacks and accidents and they’ve treated mom for gastrointestinal issues that required surgery and surgery for her breast cancer. She and I have always been happy with the way they were treated. After being acquired by Oshners some things changed. Their billing system changed and my mom’s insurance is no longer in network. She’s paying more for services that she didn’t have to pay more than a copay for before the acquisition. It’s not fair because she’s on a fixed lower income since my dad passed in 2022.

I'd say the ER doctor was very attentive and caring to me, as was most of the staff. I needed a blood transfusion after a very rough menstrual cycle, and they treated me way better than the people at Neshoba General in Philadelphia. However, some nurses kept coming into my room to talk with each other and gossip, even late at night. They woke me up a few times while I was trying to rest and recover. I didn't mind it too bad, but it did feel very invasive and strange. Another nurse there - good lord - I dreaded her coming to draw my blood. She missed the vein every time, and I have always been told my veins are very good and easy to see. Instead of taking the needle out to try again, she'd just... dig around until she finally got it, then squeezed the heck outta my arm to "stop the bleeding." I had several nasty bruises from her. It hurt so bad I cried.

I realize the covid19 virus has turned everyone's world upside down but people who are sent by ambulance for a possible heart attack should not have to wait over 7 hours to be seen by a doctor. I was admitted directly to a room and lay there in awful pain til after 2am the next morning. The night shift nurse told me not to be ugly to the doctor that it wasn't her fault. I told her it wasn't my fault either. I hope I never have to go through that again. I won't take that chance. I will go to Jackson. Their hospitals are on a different level.

Just got my mom outta there. The nurses think they're Doctors and have no issue refusing to give medications ordered by the doctors, especially pain meds. Even her anti arrhythmia medication was withheld because her BP was a little low. ( it has nothing to do with her BP it's to keep her heart in rhythm, they just assumed it was bp medicine) The night shift nurses were flat out rude to her. Some of the nurses were nice and the doctors were good but unfortunately the bad apples spoiled the whole experience. I think we'll consider another hospital in the future. If possible stay with your elderly relatives here.
Edit : she was a fall risk and had to wait a long time for help to the bathroom. Bathroom had no rails and as a result of waiting so long for assistance she fell trying to get back into bed herself.
