I have had the pleasure of visiting Cottage Grove Place hundreds of times over the past 8 years, and I must say, it exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I walked through the doors, it was evident that this community is not just a place to live—it's a place to thrive.

The staff at Cottage Grove Place are truly exceptional. They go above and beyond in every way to ensure that the residents feel comfortable, cared for, and valued. Whether it’s the friendly greetings, the attentive care, or the genuine smiles, you can tell that the staff here really care about each and every resident. I have done occasional volunteering at Cottage Grove Place over the last few years. I was so impressed with the friendly helpful staff and appealing, well kept facility that I have taken on a position there. I have seen the staff’s caring interaction with the residents. I hope to also carry out the goal to make each resident I encounter feel respected and cared about.

My Mother is lucky to live at Cottage Grove Place. We are extremely pleased with the friendly staff. It’s a clean and gorgeous place. My Mother enjoys all the activities and gives her many opportunities to socialize. I highly recommend this care center.

My mother in law lived at Cottage Grove Place in skilled care, Assisted Living Plus, and the health center. Staff everywhere were professional, patient, and kind as her dementia progressed, even when she was difficult to deal with. Many staff members have worked there for several years, which speaks to the friendly, caring environment at CGP. I would highly recommend Cottage Grove to anyone seeking professional, compassionate care for themselves or a family member.

My grandparents live at Cottage Grove Place. Picking a retirement center is hard. We had to evaluate the benefits of community life and Cottage Grove Place was by far the best option. The caring staff, amazing management team and all the activities.

Two of my children had the great fortune to work for Jason at Cottage Grove. Not only was the working environment positive, but they gained personal growth from the experience. CGP sets a high standard of excellence in everything they do and is an asset to our community.

Led a group of 7 string quartet members from the Cedar Rapids Community Orchestra to share a few baroque and many more patriotic music selections for an hour of lively entertainment. What a joy to hear so many well tuned voices in response to our music! We shared Sedlacek Hall with them and the decor/acoustics were both just perfect. Gracious thanks to Kirsten and her team in coordinating the event and turnout for us. Looking forward to visiting again!

We have had Ryan, in the Maintenance Dept at Cottage Grove, do a number of projects for us while living here. He does an excellent job on anything we have needed done. We can always count on Ryan and the maintenance department to do it right the first time!

My mother in law has been living at Cottage Grove for over 6 years now and is so happy there. It is a beautiful facility, they have excellent food and the staff is absolutely amazing!!!! They have so many fun activities every month from outdoor cookouts to casino nights!!!! We are so happy we chose Cottage Grove for her!! If you are looking for a great place this is it!!!

We came to Cottage Grove Place to live where we can have a full continuum of care from Independent Living to a Health Center and Memory Unit. There are many pluses, too many to put into a short review, and we have found this to be a wonderful home to replace our home. All of the benefits and only a few of the responsibilities that we have learned to enjoy. Fine accommodations, excellent food, sensational friends (mostly new, but some old ones, too), The LifeCare package gives peace of mind to anyone that takes advantage of its wide spectrum of benefits. We have been here for three and a half years and can't wait for the sun to come up and start another new day at Cottage Grove Place. Oh yes, and I am a second generation resident of this "home away from home". My parents lived here.

I have worked with the staff as a vendor. Susan was my contact person, was a pleasure to work with. She was fast in her communications, with clear and concise instructions, and with a professional friendly manner. I was impressed that she took the time to also show me around the facility, so I was aware of what they offer to have a better understanding for future projects.

My mother in law has been living at CGP for several years. A year and a half ago she moved to assisted living. We have been so pleased by the staff, the apartments and the rest of the facilities. I really believe that having social activities, nutritious food, friends to share meals with , and having people around to check on you is vitally important to keeping seniors healthy and happy. Unfortunately I had to put my grandmother in assisted living memory care. Cottage Grove Place is a very beautiful place for grandmom to call home. I can’t say enough how well the staff is.

I moved back to cedar Rapids from California and into Cottage Grove Place 6 years ago so I could be close to my family.
It was a great decision. CPG is the best deal in town, especially with LifeCare--meaning I don't have to leave my friends--just move within the community to a different level of care. And my kids didn't have to take care of me after recent surgery.
The staff here are helpful and caring. I'm very happy to be living at Cottage Grove Place.

As a vendor in the community, I've been working with the management & staff here for several years. They've always been very welcoming and want to provide the best experience possible for the residents and their families.

My husband and I moved to Cottage Grove Place (CGP) six years ago. As we were in our late sixties at the time, our children’s first reaction was surprise, commenting that we were too young. But we have always been long-term planners, and we were ready to shed the tasks of maintaining our large home. Moreover, we wanted to mitigate the financial risks of long-term care, and CGP (alone in Cedar Rapids) offers lifecare. After payment of an entrance fee (much of which was deductible as prepaid long term care), we are now assured that any future care we may require (assisted living, skilled nursing, or memory care) will be available to us at just a minimal increase in cost each month right here in a highly-rated Medicare community. With the security that comes with this guarantee, we rest easy about whatever care needs may arise in the future. In the meantime, we are enjoying living independently (free to travel, socialize with friends, volunteer…) in a community that offers security, stimulating activities, housekeeping services, meals, etc. There is even transportation at no added cost to church services, doctor’s and other appointments, entertainment events, etc. For so many people, growing older and aging in place means isolation and increasing loneliness. Here we are part of a supportive, even loving, community. The employees here are friends in so many ways. We know we have freed our children from the burden of caring for us or frantically searching for and settling for whatever care center has space available should the need arise at some future date. My husband and I and our two dogs are truly living a good life here at Cottage Grove Place.

Great, hardworking staff who continuously show amazing teamwork! Upper management is awesome and the care they give the residents is above and beyond!

My husband received excellent care in the skilled care unit. Everyone from housekeeping, dietary, nursing, therapists and administration were kind, professional, courteous, respectful and always happy to be there. It’s quiet, clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend Cottage Grove Place skilled care!
