For my daughter, who is on the spectrum and struggles with adhd, school has always been an uphill battle. As she has entered the preteen years, her insecurities have surged. I see so much potential in her, but she is testing more than 2 years behind her grade level. And I just don't have the patience or know-how to help her.

She started going to Mathnasium for tutoring one month ago. Already her teachers are reporting a significant increase in confidence, not in math alone, but in ALL of her subjects. Just the other day she said, "Mom, I think my brain is getting bigger!"

I was worried my daughter may resist going, which would add extra stress to life; however, quite the contrary! She absolutely loves her teachers and actually looks forward to it. Their rewards system and method of instilling confidence through starting with skills they can tackle easily is very effective. Scheduling sessions is so easy & flexible, too!

In all honesty, Mathnasium makes this mama's heart sing. If your child struggles like mine does, I want to let you know that the time and financial commitment pay off exponentially. I’m a homeschooling parent and have educated 8 kids over the span of 24 years. My husband is an engineer with a math degree, and I excel in English, so between the two of us, teaching children is something we’ve always felt comfortable doing. When our youngest seemed to struggle with high school math no matter what we tried, we were at a loss for how to help him. Mathnasium came into the picture and not only helped him understand the concepts but built up his confidence in math. There’s nothing more confirming than hearing your once-struggling teenager say, “This is really helping Mom. It’s making such a difference.” Mathnasium has really taken the strain of math out of the picture for all of us—student AND parents!

My (8th grade) daughter has been struggling with math all year. A friend recommended Mathnasium but my daughter was hesitant and nervous to start. After the very first session, she came out smiling and saying that she loved the tutor she was paired with and that he showed her a new trick that made working the problems so much easier. She had a big math test after only 3 sessions and her score more than doubled. We've only been going a short time, but we've seen her grades continue to go up on every assignment and test. We are so happy we found Mathnasium. We started with a girl that had given up on math and was headed to summer school if not repeating the entire class. My daughter is now confident and actually enjoying math. 2 days ago I overheard her talking to a friend on the phone explaining how to do their math homework. I can't recommend Mathnasium enough to anyone who has a child struggling with math. Crystal is so nice to work with and all of their tutors are amazing! So thankful!

Mathnasium significantly helped my child's grades. You can drop off at anytime during their hours, which is so convenient. My kids are always smiling when I pick them up. They have a great rapport with the instructors and like earning the prizes. The owner and manager are both great people to work with as well-very supportive. Mathnasium has been great for us when my kid's online math class wasn't as great as what we were used to as in person classes. Crystal worked with me to help get my kid where they needed to be when they return in the classroom. Our tutor was fabulous. He was patient and encouraging to my child. I highly recommend Mathnasium.

So happy we found Mathnasium right here in Huntsville! My two daughters (age 8 & 9) love going here and the staff/tutors somehow make learning math fun! They encourage personal goal-setting, and have developed a clever reward system to keep the students striving. Honestly, mine wish they could attend more than twice per week. No more home-work struggles and I feel such a burden lifted off my shoulders knowing that I'm supporting them.

My daughter had many misgivings about tutoring at first, however everyone at Mathnasium Huntsville has done a wonderful job at making her feel comfortable and supported and this is clearly apparent in her academic performance. Her grades are up and so is her confidence! A big shoutout to Crystal and her crew, thank you for all you do!

I am so glad we found Mathnasium. My daughter was really struggling with math and I wasn’t able to really help her. The way I was doing it and the way she was learning it was different. She would get frustrated with me and say, “that’s not how I’m supposed to do it”! So you can imagine the frustration we were both experiencing . The staff at Mathnasium has been great and has helped my daughter a great deal. She is really enjoying it.

This was the answer to our prayers! Phyllis Norton, the owner of the franchise in Jones Valley, is the most amazing person! The educator shared her own family struggle with her kids and math. That’s why she opened this business. Her passion is evident! She and the staff worked diligently and continue to follow up with us to make sure our child is getting what she needs. After many, many tutors and lots of other strategies, Mathnasium was what our child needed. It offered a family peace that we had not had in a while when it came to math. I highly recommend it here and continuinally recommend it to friends.

I have nothing but positive things to say about mathnasium and their staff. They really listened to my concerns and areas that I needed them to help my son with for ACT help. As an assistant principal, I know education, and they do a good job of it and even dropped off some items to my school for our students and teachers. I am overall just extremely pleased with their service and professionalism. In addition, I am very grateful to them!

My child seems to have a better understanding of the material now, and grades have improved to reflect this. The staff has been very easy to work with. I appreciate the service they have provided any time I have had issues with scheduling. Overall a positive experience, if you have an interested student and schedule enough tutoring sessions in a month it's a good value.

Mathnasium has been a Godsend for my 7th grader! He enjoys the sessions and his confidence has increased along with his grades. After 4 months at mathnasium, math is one of his best subjects!

I came to Mathnasium when I was struggling in my college pre-cal class. I had been failing my tests and struggling with homework. I was mainly tutored by Trey. However occasionally I would also work with Russ. Both were exceptionally knowledgeable, patient, and nice. Trey worked very hard with me to improve my math skills. By then end of the semester I passed my final with a B and finished the course with an A overall. With this in mind I think Trey needs a raise. Also I really like effort put into the aesthetic. There are two different Mathnasium vehicles with really cool graphics on them. Overall the staff is very good and I would recommend them to anyone who needs extra help with math.

My child loves going to Mathnasium. Michelle and Chasity are awesome! Everyone there really is amazing. Highly recommend.

I've used this service from my Jr year in high school to my Freshman year in college. It has continually provided tremendous value in mathematics. The people and management are excellent and the atmosphere is positive and supportive. There's always a tutor That's able to help you work through a problem and grasp complicated concepts. Mathnasium saved me from having to repeat math classes in the past. Thanks again guys :)

It's a great environment with great people working there. Both of my girls like it a lot!. We got great grade-raising results! They keep it fun with great incentives for the kids. Plus, we feel totally fine dropping the kids off there and running errands.

Incredibly effective. Straightforward process- filling in knowledge gaps and clarifying topics. Our eighth grade daughter is regaining her confidence in algebra, with improved grades after just a few weeks. Highly recommend.
