Abby was such an amazingly supportive & loving doula. From the moment I met Abby, I knew she was the right fit for me as she brought so much passion, confidence & excitement into our experience! Abby creates such a warm & comforting environment, I truly couldn't imagine my doula support before, during and after birth any differently. It was such a joy to share in the birth of my son with Abby! Thank you Abby for being such a central part of my beautiful birth experience!

When I became pregnant with my second child, I knew I wanted a different birth experience than that of my first child. I knew I needed to have a doula with me to help achieve that goal. Choosing Abby as my doula was the best decision for so many reasons.

Throughout my pregnancy I looked forward to meetings with Abby. I especially appreciate how she was able to involve my husband and had a fun way to present information about birth and comfort measures. As my due date approached, it looked as if I would need an induction for medical reasons. I texted Abby and she responded right away to call her. I didn’t realize at that moment, how much I needed to talk to someone. Having Abby as a doula helped me feel confident going into a birth that was going to be different than my original birth plan.

During my labor, Abby was such a calming presence. She has an inner sense of when to make suggestions, give support or give space. My husband was very involved, but he doesn’t know when to suggest a peanut ball, offer a smell of essential oil or give counter pressure exactly where it’s needed. Abby’s experience and intuition of what a laboring mom needs truly made the difference between an okay labor experience to one in which I felt fully supported and taken care of.

During postpartum, Abby continued her amazing care. I loved having the opportunity to talk about and process the birth with her. It was also helpful that I could talk to Abby about issues with breastfeeding and all the nitty gritty details of new motherhood.

Having had two births, one without a doula and one with, I can say with certainty that it is truly a “game changer”. I am so grateful to have had Abby with me through pregnancy, labor and postpartum. Her care, kindness and thoughtfulness is felt in all her interactions.
Through it all, Abby has become more of a friend than doula. I wish every new mom could feel that level of support and care during the most life changing time of her life. Doula care from Abby can help give moms just that. I highly recommend anyone thinking of hiring Abby as a doula, to go for it. It will be a decision you will be so thankful to have made!
